Claxton isn't very good at anything and he has been a bit of a hothead at times. There is NO offense in him and he is too thin to bang with anyone who has any size. He is just long and kinda athletic, again a guy who would need a great Pg to make him seem serviceable.

I kinda like Sochan. I don't really know how his game projects to develop going forward but his size would really be nice.

Ultimately I don't know much about either of these guys.

Hope it works out lol

To me, Jeremy Sochan is a requisite in any SA trade. He provides much of what this team has lacked - energy, effort, hustle, toughness, versatility. Vassell is a valuable contract, but like Booker and Beal he is clearly a shooting guard. I keep praying our FO has learned the lesson that positions exist. I like Keldon Johnson for us, as well. We need offensive rebounding and scoring at our forward positions.

Without Sochan, my ask in this trade goes up. Who needs the headache of three young stars (Fox/Castle/Harper) in the same back court anyways? :P

Collins should be a trade target for us using our fringe players like O'neale/ Martin/ maybe Richards? (because they're looking to trade Kessler anyways) or use a piece like Vassell (salary)from the KD trade with the Spurs, and one of our CLE 1sts.

Because then you can have Collins play at the 4 as a rim running physical big that can shoot threes and tell him to focus on defensive plays, and rim protection/ rebounding using his size and athleticism.

Ainge is a snake. You cant trade with him.

If the Knicks are serious about Durant -- OG would need to come to the Suns. Period.

Unless it was something like Bridges, Robinson and Hart

They like OG, they gave up too much for Bridges. The entire team was sick of Kat.... we don't want Kat.IDK!!!

KAT and Booker don't fit together

OG and Robinson or Bridges, Hart and Robinson

I know its not happening but OG and Robinson with Booker and Dunn - I could get behind that. Not ahead of the Rockets if they give back a couple picks but I think better than the SPurs offer

I wouldn't want Robinson. He's played less than 50 regular season games in the last two seasons. He did play 18 playoff games this postseason but he can only play only a handful of minutes. Combine him with Nick Richards and the Suns center rotation is still terrible. I'd rather just deal for KAT and perhaps Kolek if Suns are able to nab him.

Trade Grayson Allen for Cole Anthony, and Beal to the Hornets for Bridges, Okogie, and Grant Williams.

Anthony / Gillespie / Kolek
Booker / Martin / Okogie
Dunn / Williams
Bridges / O'Neal
KAT / Richards / Oso

A band of merry misfits.

How many draft picks will you be sending the Hornets to make that deal happen?

Still less redundant on the roster than Vassell

Salaries with Kat AND Josh don't line up with Durant. There us no single person on our roster that a second straight up salary works (Allen is close but not enough), and we can't combine Salaries in a trade because of apron rules . Is that correct?

Gambo:
Look for DeMarre Carroll to be the Suns #3 assistant. Carrroll was a player when Jordan Ott was in Brooklyn and coached with him in Los Angeles and Cleveland.

Heard he will likely hire a former Head Coach as a top assistant, but I do not expect that to be Fizdale. Heard Stephen Silas was under consideration.

LOL

They have a ton of young players who basically dont play at all (Sheppard, Whitmore, even Jabary Smith was having a 10-15 mpg in playoffs...). They still have a value but that would start to vanish if they continue to collect DNP-s next season. So if you are a freakin Rockets fan you would trade for KD dirty cheap and keep those prospects while dont play them at all?

People said the same thing about OKC. If I was in Houston’s front office I would rather keep my war chest with hopes of landing a first option that is not 37 years old. They aren’t true contenders with KD, IMO.

I agree with you - the Rockets have no need for Durant at this time as they can easily get a younger player that will fit longer term

Hence, why without the Rockets - the Knicks could intrigue me the most unless Castle is part of a deal

Claxton is another big man who is playable during the regular season but will get benched come playoffs because he will be targeted for switches and abused for isolations.

Big men who can't punish small ball offensively and can't slide their feet well are no good for playoffs.

Only Big men are serviceable are those with high IQs or very reliable to implement X and Os but still need backup plan for small ball.

Scoop B about most possible KD's destinations:

Houston, Toronto or San Antonio (as of today).

Scoop isn't that reliable but I think he has a good contact with either Durant or Kyrie -- from when they were in Brooklyn

I am hugely negative on the idea of trading KD for a package centered around OG Anunoby and Mitchell Robinson. Yuck.

John Collins has to have some record for most consecutive years on the trade block.
Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming Wow! What a Ride!-H.S.T.
