Barlowe is one of the worst draft evaluators I've seen in my opinion. I regularly disagree with all his takes.

Yeah, this one is bad. Even if Jase isn’t great I don’t see 35 year old Lou.

His brother is even worse

CMB needs to go to a team that needs defense like Charlotte, Chicago, Washington.

Draft maybe a wild one....Wonder how it could impact our pick....Or if we are one of the teams making a move.

Vecenie said yesterday that CMB would be a fit for Toronto.

Here he is saying that he likes him but finding a good fit could be a challenge and he need to fall in the right organization to develop him

Does that means that Vecenie truly think that Toronto is a good fit and he trust our development system or he is contradicting himself ?

They talked about the organization failing Scottie by not putting the right complementary players around him that can shoot and defend....and then go on to say that CMB would be a good fit in Toronto. The guy can't shoot to be a wing and at 6'7 wouldn't be a marked improvement over Jonathan Mogbo as is as a small ball 5. Vecenie lost me there.

Well, they did the same thing to Pascal. We had our Kyle Lowry replacement sitting right there in Suggs and he took Scottie instead even though we knew the fit with Pascal and OG wasn't going to be ideal. It may even be that taking CMB is a hedge against a future Scottie trade if the right player becomes available.

Scottie just needs a #1 scoring option so he's not trying too hard to score. He is minimum like a lankier Draymond, capable of being 1st team all-defense.

Jase has a similar size profile to C Sexton and I think he projects as a combo guard microwave scorer like Sexton is.

Combine Measurements:
Jase Richardson: 6'0.5 w/o shoes, 6'6.0 wingspan, 8'2.5 standing reach, 178 lbs
Colin Sexton: 6'0.5 w/o shoes, 6'7.25 wingspan, 8'2.25 standing reach, 183 lbs

Draft Year:
JR: 25.3 MIN, 12.1 PPG, 3.3 REB, 1.9 AST, 0.8 STL, 0.3 BLK, .493 FG, .412 3PT, .836 FT, .624 TS, 20.6 USG, 11.6 BPM
CS: 29.9 MIN, 19.2 PPG, 3.8 REB, 3.6 AST, 0.8 STL, 0.1 BLK, .447 FG, .336 3PT, .778 FT, 567 TS, 32.9 USG, 6.9 BPM

CMB would not be a fit with us....I feel if we get him you are drafting a full time bench player....Unless other roster moves are being made in his favor....One or both of Barnes/Yak would need to be moved to get the best out of him.....I think at #9 better fit/talent will still be on the board...

But if Masai picks him gotta trust it.

Looks like Carter Bryant's highlights. :D

I guess his game looks like Arenas' son. I hope he's recovering okay.

Queen is more dynamic offensively - a way better handle and he has a shot creation ability that Sullinger did not have. He’s also taller and thinner.

They have a similar frame / build and some of the same defensive flaws.

I agree that CMB creates positional challenges, but no more so than someone like Essengue. Also disagree strongly that he doesn't represent a marked improvement over Mogbo. If Mogbo doesn't improve his finishing around the rim, he'll be out of the league sooner rather than later. CMB is a way better ball handler, playmaker and (especially) finisher, and a much sturdier and more versatile defender. I think there may be cleaner fits, but CMB is consistently underrated for how dynamic he is on the ball and on defence. He's a baller.

This draft is interesting for the Raps. Not sure which way they will go. All this big talk could be all smoke for them just to zero in on Jakocionos

But if I had to rank the bigs, I think they give the edge to defense and go with KM as their #1 big target. He may not have the best defensive numbers but I think they bank on his size, determent of shots and grow him as a player.

I know CMB isn't a 5 but for this discussion, I think the Raps will have a real discussion between him and Queen.

Reason i think we maybe looking at a more offensive upside player in this draft is where our team has ranked on that end of the floor.....We are ranked 25th in Offense, 27th in Half Court offense in the enitre NBA.....Our defense respectable at 17th and even better mid way through the season....

That tells me we lack alot on the offensive end....Sure we could go two way guys but that also means he must be able to play offense at a high level as well....We are not drafting a defensive guy with limited offense in my opinion....Think we use this pick to bring in a player who is good in the half court offense.

Trade down. The tier 4 picks in the 9 range aren't all that impressive. If you can get two tier 5 picks, that might be the way to go.

We're already playing on hard mode with two front court players that can't shoot, so I would prefer to avoid players that require custom fitting around them like CMB and Queen
