Houston valued him at 4 first round picks. Mitch even with his injuries bc of his elite defensive stopper potential which was on display vs two of the best teams in the NBA is worth at least 1 FRP.

JJJ is on the last year of his deal too. It ABSOLUTELY is fair value or....at most you throw in one of the few picks we have.

Bridges ppg has been declining each year since 2022-23 from 26.1 ppg, to this year's 17.6 ppg. Teams aren't going to be paying 4 first round picks for him now.

Here is quite the interesting example....

this is the only trade that makes trade either we trade or keep Towns... Towns, Giannis, Durant, all would fit perfectly in a lineup with the other 4 starters...

Towns and Hart for Giannis and Portis

JJJ / Hukporti / Tucker
Giannis (KAT) / Portis (Hart)
Anunoby / Shamet / Dadiet
Donte / McBride / McCullar
Brunson / Wright / Kolek

Chris Paul for the MLE would be great too for the last spot... or a 3&D forward like Dorian Finney

If we could then flip KAT for Giannis in a subsequent deal that would be incredible. But to get Donte you almost definitely have to give up McBride/Kolek bc that fills a big need for Minny. A pure point as Conley is cooked and a backcourt defender and 3 ball in McBride to pair with their offensive guys.

We would then use the MLE for a decent role player possibility one of Oubre, Trent Jr, Simmons, Beasily

Beasly can be had with the tax MLE... Oubre might get a full MLE again, though I would prefer the latter with Hart gone

The main appeal of KD with 1 year left and being older is his cost will be probably 'lower' than other stars.

Perhaps you could still pair him with JJJ to stabilize the defense.

If you want keep KAT though OG and Bridges would have to go. The most stable team defense potentially would be

JJJ/Huk
OG/JJJ
Bridges/OG /MLE
McBride/MLE/ Bridges
Brunson/Wright

Brunson wouldnt be the sole threat in the clutch
You keep both Mikal and OG and with Mitch at 5 you improve the defense too... KD is also elite on defense

Hart Mikal and Mitch, 3 for AD. Love the idea of AD but we've done too many 2 for 1s recently which eats away at the depth. Who's going to fill those spots?

I gotta post this one here too, cause I've been posting in the Hamsterdam thread and that attracts its own sort of people...this is where the dudes who need to make trades live.

We got an opening for Houston in Build A Franchise.

Guys on his roster: Cade Cunningham on a nice rookie contract extension for 3 more years, Brandon Ingram kinda overpaid but he's expiring in a year and you can re-sign him for much cheaper probably next year or just get a shyt-ton of cap space, JJJ as a key free agent, Ausar Thompson and Kel'el Ware on their rookie contracts, GG Jackson and Jaylen Wells on some nice 2nd rounder contracts.

Next steps: Houston has one late 1st and a few 2nd rounders in this draft. Also has a pivotal FA where he has decide what to do with JJJ. He has his 1st round picks going forward, if you want to rebuild. Andre Drummond, his backup center, is also expiring.

It's really fun setting lineups, making trades, getting to know people around the league, scouting players. A year ago, I got my team of scrubs through the play-in and it was fun as ****.
