It’s hard to argue Kirk over Cal Raleigh but he definitely is arguably second best

I had just looked it up. We have him locked under contract until 2030.

Love pulling one of our best RPs for no reason at all for Chad Green

Fun times ahead

Cals on another planet but Kirk has a strong case for 2nd best. His bat has been great but hes 98th percentile in blocks, 100th percentile in framing, and 91st percentile in throwing out runners. Looks like he's finally combined his 2022 hitting with his massive leaps on defense in 2023/24. As a day 1 Kirk fan I'm really happy to see him put it together.

Either him, or maybe Heineman. ;)

Such an incredibly stupid manager

Schneider overmanaging a bullpen and it immediately coming back to bite him?

Couldn't be.

Why even pull Fluharty? Idiotic decision. Straw thankfully got the out in the end. Classic case of over managing.

But he gave up a [so]WALK![/so] hit. Of course you need to pull him! And there wasn't going to be another lefty for at least one batter! :noway: :nonono:

Calling that overmanaging suggests there was an actual defensible reason for making that move to the worst RP on the roster (I could go back and forth on that with Swanson, it depends on who I see most recently).

Fluharty didn’t walk anybody, he gave up a single to RF on mildly hard hit GB. Absurd pull

Hey, I didn't say he was overmanaging WELL. But that whole move reeked of 'well, I have to do SOMETHING!'

He's very very bad at his job.

Giving up a walk with a 4 run lead is panic city.

Green forcing us to have to use Hoffman. Well done.

An extra run would be nice,

So Hoffman was available and they still went to Green for no reason at all mid-inning

Starting pitcher goes 7 complete innings (and only 89 pitches). We have a bullpen day tomorrow.

And somehow we're going to use 4 pitchers. FTSOF.

Chad Green is the guy you use in low leverage situations. Just idiotic to bring him in that scenario, and not let Fluharty continue. Cannot believe he is getting paid 10.5 million this season. Great job by his agent.

Chad Green has a 6 FIP this year and a negative 0.5 WAR, can the FO maybe step in and tell the manager not to use him over one of the best RPs in baseball this season or do their analytics not factor that in
