Sorry but Brown on a supermax isnt that appealing and the Celtics will treat him like a top 10 player, which he's FAR from.

I don't think Ethiopia has a BAL team. They did GoA stuff there a few months ago.
Ethiopan Airlines is a decent sized airlines with destinations all over Africa. Addis Ababa might not even be the final destination, just a hub.

I honestly don’t care much about Jaylen Brown. Celtics have other more interesting pieces.

Very weird for the Suns to prioritize young talent unless they plan on moving said talent to a 3rd team for some vets to contribute

What's so weird about it ? Vassell (25 y/o in August) and Sochan are both not that kind of young talents anymore, they are proven players, who fit a scheme for the Suns, they need that. What kind of vets should they trade for ? Suns are not in the Position to make trades for big vets.

Booker is 29 in October, he's not getting any younger so you'd ideally want more win-now pieces around him so you're not giving up valuable picks in the future since you don't exactly have time or much in the way of young pieces on the roster to "grow" with these hypothetical whippersnappers.
Yeah Vassell isn't super young and is on a not great deal but he hasn't even turned 25 and Sochan is only 22 so he fits that bill for "young talent". The Suns already f*cked up by trading for Beal so if the plan is to just retool this roster via a Durant trade instead of blowing it up and getting their picks back (which they can't do with how many swaps they owe in even numbered years up until 2030.
So yeah, does not make sense unless they think Devin Vassell - who is frankly redundant next to Booker AND Beal - is a step away from stardom or will somehow become a completely different player under their nepobaby coach's new system. Sochan is a different story but I don't think he's a win-now piece. If he was, the Spurs wouldn't be so willing to include him in what could simply be a rental for Kevin Durant.
Besides, it's not like Phoenix has been all that great at development outside of Booker (Mikal, Johnson and Ayton all stalled in their final seasons with the team/failed to "make the leap" expected of them) so I wouldn't trust them to make the most of someone like Sochan who, put mildly, still has a lot of room to improve from.

Can see the Suns getting Vassell, Sochan, H. Barnes and the 14th pick for Durant.

I'm guessing Bill Simmons knows something but was playing it off as an opinion the other day.

I still think RJ + Jak is better than Sochan, Vassel, and Barnes, but whatever.

so it would be Fox/Harper/Keldon Johnson/KD/Wemby? Probably needs another big trade to be relevant in the West.

Fox/Harper/Castle/Durant/Wemby
Honestly, starting KD at PF was a big reason why the Suns were horrible defensively and got bullied around. Obviously Wemby changes things a lot but I don't think its a smart strategy after seeing it fail with the Suns.

I could see them put in Keldon Johnson over Barnes, but overall it is a pretty solid framework.

Re: Free Agency & Trades Rumours Thread
kd to the spurs would be an decent fit, especially if they're just giving up johnson/vassell and a pick.
and yeah, giannis is probably headed back to milwaukee. not too surprised.
we'll see some activity ramp up at the draft and at summer league when execs meet face-to-face but I don't think it's gonna be this big explosive off-season.
i think we may get more action next year when the FA class is stronger, lots more teams have capspace and we'll see teams who've stand been content to stand pat opt to make more sizeable changes.
