Highest wage bill in the league too.

The only thing Red Scousers are really good at is unsolicited virtue signalling.

And yet, that record was broken a year and a half later (Manchester United's transfer of Maguire).

What does it matter if Liverpool "breaks" the record, which, if I recall correctly, would be currently held by your beloved Chelsea?

Care to show where you're seeing Liverpool has the highest wage bill?

Top-5 2024/25 Premier League club's wage bill

1. Manchester City
£224,733,600

2. Manchester United
£172,419,000

3. Arsenal
£169,936,000

4. Chelsea
£169,925,600

5. Liverpool
£145,113,800

This is the last possible moment for you to spam this inaccurate link considering it hasn't factored in Wirtz's 400 kpw & the fact that you had to pay van Dyke and Salah half a million per week to stay at your club.

To be clear, it was you who spouted inaccurate information. I simply corrected you. It's becoming a trend.

Now, as to the addition of Wirtz along with new contracts for van Dijk and Salah:

Oh my apologies, you have the second highest wage bill in the league as per Deloitte (GiveMeSport lol). This is yet to factor in what you had to offer Wirtz to attract him to Liverpool and Dyke and Salah's extension.

Enough with the self-righteousness as if your club isn't funded by unethical billionaires like everyone else's.

Doesn't matter what site you show, Liverpool does not have the highest wage bill in the PL. Again, you were wrong. Again, egg on your face.

But keep trying, stormi. A broken clock will be right twice a day.

There are three current/former "oil" invested clubs in the league are you're outspending two of them on wages per season anyways.

And since the half a million per week's worth of wages wasn't enough, your humanitarian captain leader legend is lining his pockets by co-signing an Israeli start-up.

Are the Prem holding off on penalties for the 115 Man City charges , so they can buy all their wish list????

Ridiculously management by the league....now City are favourites for Nypan, who Villa all but had an agreement with, but because we failed to get CL, we have to be careful with spending (no debt though...but what does that matter!!)

Hopefully we can sell our women's team to one of our owner's other companies for 500 mil

With regards to Nypan, I’ve heard his family helped him make this decision (money talks) even though they’ve put out to the media they want him somewhere he can have a clear path to first team football. They went from not being interested in being loaned out to feeder clubs (City/Girona) to now being ok with it.

Seems like Villa sold Duran at the right time and for a good amount. I was sad about him leaving because he’s really talented but his heads not screwed on. I don’t know what it is with him, but his football story is going down the ‘If only he realised his potential’ path similar to Ravel Morrison etc. For his sake hopefully he can get on the right track.

We’ve obviously benefited from the deal and it’s helped with FFP/SCR. Still some work to do with regards to SCR but that can be sorted over the course of the summer. I think Martinez and Bailey leaving will help with lowering our wages. Although I like him as a player and he was one of our better players this season, Digne will likely leave as he’s one of our higher earners. We’ve released Hause who was on a decent wage and Robin Olsen too. We still have Coutinho and Dendoncker on our books lol they need to go.We just can’t spend anything before June 30th, that accounting period from 21/22 should then roll off after that and our PSR situation looks better (thanks Gerrard). That’s without any sales before the PSR deadline.

I thought Watkins would be one of the ones to possibly leave but it doesn’t seem that likely, Roger’s we won’t sell unless something ridiculous comes in (even that I doubt it because Emery loves him like his son) and Konsa will likely stay as well.

This whole feeder clubs stuff should be illegal to begin with.

I agree, I don’t like multi-club ownerships at all. I know Villas owners also have stakes in other teams, but I still don’t agree with it.

If he had the Ümit Davala attitude, he would be a great player. You will sometimes rejoice when you see him play and sometimes tear your hair out. Fantastic on some days, on other days he doesn't seem to care at all. Maybe he cares more often of he plays in front of Galatasaray fans.

I don't even agree with single club ownership tbh.
Football clubs are for the fans.
There shouldn't be a single person or investment group able to control the financial destiny of a club independent of whether he changes the clubs fortune for the good or bad.
These owners should just buy companies on the stock market if they want to play with their money.

Yeah Gala has become a sort of rehab club for problematic players, it helps they are treated like rockstars. Icardi, Osimhen, Torreira all have been playing their hearts out despite having some mental issues previous stops. Then there is the case of Ziyech who is just a lost cause.

Hopefully he at least shows up for CL games because he'll dominate the domestic league even at 50 percent. Sounds like Bayern wanted to keep him and Arsenal made a push for him so he shouldnt be that bad.

What is the price tag for Martinez? I know Gala is interested and he is perfect for Turkish league but paying more than 20m on a keeper might be problematic.

We’ve quoted teams £35-40mill, but I can see us doing some sort of cash+player deal. I know we’ve held interest in Baris previously which i doubt you guys will want to part way with. There’s been talk since Jan for Gabriel Sara, so I can see a deal being maybe 20m+ one of them possibly?

Now that Sané is signed I wouldn’t mind parting with Barıs, it’s about time he moved on to a better league to prove himself. I know they valued him at around €30 million last year, so they probably can’t justify signing a goalkeeper for over €50 million. Sara would be a bit more difficult—not that he’s an amazing player, but he’s great at set pieces and it’s hard to find someone who can effectively play both as an 8 and a 10.

Hopefully Martinez comes over when he’s a bit older, so he can join the other South American piss-takers who became legends like Icardi, Felipe Melo and Diego Lugano.
