This is the exact spot we are in right now, our only shot to win a championship is to have a 2nd round pick turn into a rotation player.

I am so happy about Giannis.

We as Bucks fans are so incredibly lucky to have him.

I feel we will be able to get a good team starting this season and a better one next season.

I hope to see his statue at the Fiserv many years from now and reminisce about how he got us a championship after 50 years—— think about it, after half a century!

If only we can get a prospect who is a clone of Khris. Tall 6’7”. Silky shooting from far and mid range: Khash money. Good defense. Ability to create for himself and others. Humble. A great playing rapport with Giannis.

Horst: Please search for such a player!

The only negative about Giannis is that he loves everybody-Kidd, Bud, Griffin and now Doc. He's not very insightful in that regard. I don't know what he'd say if he actually had a Spoelstra type coach.

Stein:

Let's be crystal clear about our understanding of Antetokoumpo's future and the overall state of the Milwaukee Bucks:

Following a first-round ouster marred by Damian Lillard’s torn Achilles, which likely rules the 34-year-old for the majority of the 2025-26 season, rival teams built up no shortage of hope and excitement that Antetokounmpo would finally request a trade away from the only NBA franchise he has ever known. It was certainly an ever-present topic among team executives and agents at the weeklong NBA Draft Combine in Chicago.

A month has elapsed since and much — if not all — of that external optimism has dissipated. The Bucks have not entertained trade inquiries from opposing front offices, according to league sources. Milwaukee continues to operate as if Antetokounmpo will be sticking around.

And maybe that shouldn't take anyone by surprise.

The Bucks have always communicated that they would be unwilling to even entertain the idea of trading their dynamic face of the franchise away unless Antetokounmpo forced the issue himself. Milwaukee last played a game on April 29 and it hasn't happened yet, so interested teams have begun to move forward with their offseason plans and strategies, hunkering around conference room tables for meeting after meeting, with the growing resignation that Antetokounmpo won't wind up on the market.

Antetokounmpo might have even given potential suitors a nudge to shift to those other plans at a recent public appearance in Brazil, where he said of the Oklahoma City/Indiana matchup: "The Finals are different; I hope to be back with the Bucks."

That said …

It's only June 11.

And Antetokounmpo obviously has the ability, as much as any superstar in the league, to do things on his own timetable.

Shams also now saying Giannis moves on his own timeline and is still weighing his options and will likely continue weighing them into July and beyond

In the clip Shams says Giannis is "actively exploring other options" which runs counter to everything else we've heard.

Is he just lying through his teeth or does he know something we don't?

Lmfao the media is hilarious. Imagine saying you want to be back in the Finals with the Bucks, and on the same day post a picture of yourself holding up your Bucks jersey in front of Christ the Redeemer, then a month later request a trade. His image would be tarnished despite his accomplishments.

They're weasels who hide behind vague language for plausible deniability. Much of what they claim could be applied to any player in the league too. The corporate media's incentivized to keep this going out of confirmation bias, & ratings - short term and long.

Giannis is a master troll. Eat it Shams.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

"Giannis is open to exploring options outside Milwaukee despite all evidence to the contrary.....

[Giannis verbally expresses desire to return to the Finals with the Bucks]

Giannis could change his mind at any moment, whatever we say still holds just on different timelines..."

Modern-day 'journalism' at its finest.
"Wes, Hill, Ibaka, Allen, Nwora, Brook, Pat, Ingles, Khris are all slow-mo, injury prone ... a sandcastle waiting for playoff wave to get wrecked. A castle with no long-range archers... is destined to fall. That is all I have to say."-- FOTIS

It's going to be funny if Giannis was actually on the fence about staying and this rumormill basically forces him to stay just to prove them wrong.
