Bucks-Suns-Nets-Celtics

Post#1 » by zimpy27 » Wed Jun 11, 2025 6:19 am

Celtics give Jrue, KP
Celtics get Connaughton, $32m TPE, $21m TPE

Nets give #36
Nets get Lillard, KP, worst of MIN/CLE27FRP, worst of MIN/CLE29FRP

Suns give Beal, worst of MIN/CLE27FRP, worst of MIN/CLE29FRP
Suns get Jrue, #36, $23m TPE

Bucks give Lillard, Connaughton
Bucks get Beal

Celtics can get out of the tax with this trade. Resets their repeater in a season without Tatum.

Nets get a couple future FRPs and now have Lillard, CamJ, KP, Clax to build a decent squad for 26-27 season if Lillards returns close to form (otherwise they can use his expiring in trade).

Suns get Jrue as a fit with Booker in the backcourt. Suns also can duck the tax and reset the repeater.

Bucks get a playable Beal and open up more salary so that they can use full MLE, BAE and add other players while staying under tax or 1st apron.

Don't see it for the Nets at all...
Too good for BOS and MIL IMO.
Lillard is better sent to non cap space team like WAS or UTA for less terrible money (for example, Middleton and Smart).

When are disabled player exceptions granted? Celtics would probably want to get one for Tatum and take PatC into that to create a bigger TPE without triggering hard caps. As is, they’d probably use MLE that they open up with this much salary saved to make the second TPE bigger too.

In any case, Celtics getting too good a deal. Send PatC into a TPE/MLE somewhere else and have Boston keep Porzingis. Boston needs to clear about $44M to duck the tax so this leaves them short if only clearing Jrue (about $14M short, as it’s $32.4M saves for Jrue plus cost of filling that roster spot). But between Porzingis/Hauser they could clear that in separate deals. And then to just totally clear Jrue with nothing coming back it should be BOS sending #32 to Phoenix instead of BRK sending #36.

Good point regarding DPE.

Boston can duck tax with KP going out too and I don't think moving Hauser makes sense since his deal is good and he fits the Celtics system.

Maybe Celtics pay with future draft capital instead. BOS27FRP protected and they get #36. I'm sure Nets probably prefer to spread some of their '25 picks out to other years. Whereas it's good for Celtics to get young guys in this year to develop them a year with Tatum out.

I was wondering as I read through this. I haven’t checked if they have that space, but they are taking back GDP of small country here.

So Boston portion would be Jrue and 2027 FRP lotto protected to BKN for 36 and Pat C.
Thats probably fair I suppose.
I dont think the Suns need anything coming back aside from Jrue. Turning Beal into Jrue and only giving up two late picks is amazing for them.

hard pass from Nets. conceptually I think they will "sell" cap space to someone, but they aren't taking back big multi-year max deals for meh picks when they already have plenty of picks. They'd need to get some real high quality assets to take on multi-year dollars, and perhaps even farther refined that will either be unprotected future firsts or another lotto pick this year.

to get another lotto pick this year they seem very willing to trade from their lower picks and veterans (camj, clax).

I've said this in other threads

but the only way the bucks might have any interest in a dame/beal swap is if dame has a setback in his recovery process
