Re: Raptors Board Mock Draft - POR is on the clock (#11)
Portland can go a bunch of different ways here but looking at their roster:
1. Ayton is expiring and will either be used in a trade to take on some longer term salary or left to expire.
2. Timelord is forever injured and also expiring next summer.
3. Simons is expiring next summer.
4. Sharpe is due for a new contract.
They have a lot of young players and could probably benefit from acquiring some vets now and start to make a bit of a push towards the play-in. I imagine Simons will probably find his way to the Magic (LONG overdue), leaving Scoot as the only PG on the roster, depending on what they get back in a trade.
All that to say, I think they could go Fleming here, "reach" for RIchardson, Queen or trade out.

POR badly needs shooting. They were in the bottom 5 last year.
I like Coward for them. He gives them length/versatility on the wing, and he can also play off ball as a 3pt shooter. Fleming also works next Clingan as a floor spacing big, who can defend and rebound.
