Yes I was surprised by the zone, Wiggins had a great game, our defense mainly took away those corner threes. I believe that might have been the difference, Caruso was the best trade in history for us. Just think about where we would be with giddy still here, oh probably Denver would have beat us.

the thought of a 2-3 zone crossed my mind before the series but i thought it wouldn't happen because i presumed they'd easily have the cardio to keep up that high intensity aggressive defense against this madness of offense - that didn't happen. i saw some g1 4th quarter podsessions that sga was just extenuated, and that was decisive for their comeback

their natural 2-3 breakers are siakam, nembhard and () mcconell. if siakam keeps stinking that looks a no brainer because nembhard has his hands full on defense and mcconell is simply too small to not be exploited

let's see how carlisle will adjust. i'm expecting some weird stuff on sga to free nembhard.

I think the cardio issue is the reason why we played Ajay in the first game. Didn't like it even if I understand the idea.

if Wiggins can play like this on the road it's a game changer to us. He's the only one not named Shai (or JDub that sucks) that can create his own shot.

Good adjustments and good game by Mark! Tightening up on those corner 3's really surprised me in a good way. His timeout with 3ish minutes left was important.
Shai is awesome.
Hartenstein makes a huge difference when he's out there. I'd keep giving him minutes.

We still need a reliable second scorer. Obviously, we're not getting it this year. We're going to have to do it by committee and I'm worried that we won't get as good of a bench performance in Indiana. I wonder if there's something we can do to get JDub going?

Shai performance being overlooked big time. He was INSANE. Need him to play at least that well one game at Indiana and JDub to step up which is my biggest concern. This is a bad match up for Chet but I think he did well. He was VERY tired after running in the two big line up and that's probably why they didn't play them anymore even if it's worth giving a 5-6 min stretch with that line up. We are just not using enough to easy alley oop passes like in the Minny/Denver series either.

agree with pretty much everything. Hartenstein not playing that many minutes but he was awesome. Screens, passing skil.

...and yeah we aren't getting a reliable second scorer but need JDub to step up or we are cooked.

I don't think we can do much for JDub. It comes to him understanding the pace of the game he needs to play to perform. He slowed down in the Minny series and was very patient driving and finding good shots. Hope he can do it again but I don't trust him.

He's definitely not there yet on his own. Anyone have lineup data for JDub's best outings? Mark's gotta try something to get him going.

Also want to go on record as saying that it's okay for Dub to not be there yet. It's easy to forget that he and Chet are still just in their third year.

yeah I just want him to play smart and that's my issue with him. Him missing too many open 3's like yesterday is a problem but not something I'm that pissed about but the lack of BBIQ for a guy that knows how to do it and showed it in the WCF is painful.

faking injury when losing?

Don't care much about Haliburton (only in the last minute :(). My concerns are Siakam, Nesmith and Nemhbard.

don't like our chances. I know Pacers struggle a bit in game 3s too but we have been beyond terrible.

Hope we can slow down the pace a bit and play Hart more. Need JDub to step up on the road or we are ****ed

It feels like we are way past due to have a game where we win just because we shoot lights out.

also feels like Pacers gonna hit everything at least one game this series.

I wouldn't mind coming back 2-2 at OKC because I don't think it's likely the Pacers win another road game. I hope we can win tonight's game because being down 1-2 with Pacers in control and with confidence is a huge problem (and my mental health needs a win)

agree because even if I don't like our chances tonight, if we win I don't see the Pacers beating us 3-1 barring injury or a huge mental meltdown. Would say our odds to win the title would be over 90% if we win game 3.
