……Isiah Hartenstein, Miles Bridges, DeAndre Hunter, CAM JOHNSON, Dillon Brooks, LOU DORT, HERB JONES, AUSTIN REEVES, Jacob Poetl, Josh Green, Brandon Clarke, Donte Di Vincenzo, Aaron Nesmith, LONZO BALL, Naji Marshall, GOGA BIDATZE, Kenrich Williams, John Konchar, Kris Dunn, TOUMANI CAMARA, GG JACKSON, ANDRE JACKSON, Miles McBride, Trace Jackson Davis, Keon Ellis…..

I’d wager more than half will be signed/extended by then. Likely several traded as well some signed and traded. It will be interesting to compare your Xmas list to reality of two yrs down the road.

Teams aren’t letting young talent just walk away for nothing. And again, we are not the only buyers.

You and others play the game of ‘if I were king’ …. We know otherwise.

Gobert
Divicenzo
Dillingham

They probably want to offer: Naz, Randle and Dillingham

One thing that we surely want is to get younger and play faster so I doubt th we are trading for Gobert who will be 33 years old in a couple weeks.

You make a valid point. I was just trying to put together a trade with the Twolves. I think they aren't a very good trade partner

You make a valid point about not counting on free agency in 2027. That said, I still think stretching Beal to just be able to use the MLE for a year or two isn't going to do really anything for the team as well. So, I would prefer a more logical approach to roster building that isn't based on instant gratification but a thought out process

The reason Mat Ishbia is stuck with Beal right now is because he took the instant gratification over a longer term approach to roster management. Signing Bol Bol could cost Mat Ishbia $200m in cold hard cash.

They can't offer Naz. He's a free agent.

The players I would love to see in a Suns uniform and that could create a good team and roster are Jabari, Brooks and Sabonis.
I would love to see Cunningham here, but that is not going to happen.
I would like to see Ball here, with Beal gone in all this scenarios.
Bitadze could also be a good addition.
Ingram or Wagner would be of my liking as point forwards.

I would keep Bol, Allen, Dunn and Oso. I would keep Plaumlee. I will have to keep Booker, but I would not do it if it depended on me.

If the Suns truly intend on retooling around Booker, I think the most obvious choice is to trade KD for KAT. The Suns were seeking a big that could distribute the ball, bring the ball up the court, and shoot 3s, and KAT can do all of that. I think having a big like KAT makes it easier to play Oso as well.

Not the best big in the game, but one of the best. Certainly one of the top three now in the league. If Embiid does not play, I just see Jokic above him. I do not think the Knicks would do that.
KAT needs a player like Anounoby besides for him to excel, as he is a little bit soft sometimes. It seems like he is tough, because he likes to bang in the low post, but then he is soft in the def end.

Retool with Booker, KAT, Dunn, Oso, Plumlee, Allen, Bol and then Bitadze for Beal and a PG would be great.

I'm not down on KAT at all, but I don't see how he changes the dynamic of this team and I can't see us competing with a Booker/KAT core. I could see the right group of guys making it work around Booker if many dominoes fall into place, but that requires dominoes - that is, young players breaking out, draft picks hitting, that kind of thing. Just subbing one great offensive talent for KD and rotating mediocre veterans won't change anything.

He only cares about THE GAME.

And he's right to take issue with the narrative. Wasn't his fault Brooklyn imploded. He was traded to a great Suns team that was immediately thereafter disassembled. KD's the main reason we didn't lose 60 games last year.

Whatever. We've seen the last of him in a Suns jersey, but I bear KD no ill will. I'll remember his time in Phoenix similar to Shaq's. The game goes on.

And I'm intrigued by the idea of what it could be like to date a supermodel or win the Powerball! Too bad for them if they get too clever about things.

Minnesota is a bad trading partner

That said - somebody tweeted quoting Windhorst that the Suns are not going to rebuild. Which tells me , Ishbia would like the idea of Gobert because he has heard of his name and one was the Eiffel Tower of Defense or whatever the hell he was. Ishbia wants the shiny toy. The instant gratification. If he knows the player and that player makes a lot of money - trade for him over a proper re-set for a longer term period of success.

Spurs need to give up Castle or at least 3 future firsts along with Pick 14.

They can keep Sochan and Vassell if they are willing to send Castle and picks, with Barnes and another salary filler....

It's probably in Spurs best interest to have depth by keeping both Vassell and Sochan considering KD may miss games and they need bench scorers. Pacers are showing a rotation of 8 players minimum is a very effective.

So, for Spurs, Suns must ask for Castle, Barnes, Pick 14 and a future top 10 protected pick. I think Spurs don't like that, but that is the price to go from a 9th seeded team to a potential 60 win team and battling Thunder for the finals.

Bridges, Cam, Jae, 4 FRPs and 3 pick swaps

They might get three players back - but they won't be the caliber of those three
As for draft picks - maybe 2 FRPs back

Return to Phoenix Suns
