Giannis idolizes LeBron and the path he took.

LeBron never asked to be traded, he saw each contract out and only moved via free agency.

I expect Giannis to do the same, he will see out the deal with the Bucks and leave in 27 if they haven't made him a contender by then.

Does not change the fact that he left teams for greener pastures— smart though, since that’s an admission of weakness since he wanted rings.

Let’s see if Giannis is more of a Kobe or a Lebron in the next few weeks/ months.

I mean yeah Kobe requested a trade to greener pastures when Lakers were not that good (2007).

LeBron always waited until free agency, never requested a trade. I think Giannis will be like this.

Shams has no choice but to double down because this is the first time that he may look kind of silly with his reporting. The problem is from the jump I never had the impression(at least from the outside looking in) that the Bucks or Giannis were ever seriously entertaining parting ways.

Giannis is yet again telling the public to stop putting stock in rumor-mongering thru vague language from ESPN. This is the second time he's sub-textually taken a shot at Shams. He did it during the season when he went on his bro's podcast to thank him for sticking up for his team & city.

It goes back to 2019 when this trend from ESPN started & Giannis walked out after a question from Malika Andrews. It's how you get promoted at ESPN. But from the public's POV, maybe learn media literacy from this situation or in general.
