I think comps as we all know is not an exact science with exact measurables, we all know that. The floor is pretty scary with VJ especially with our glut of guards.
Getting preoccupied with positional fit when drafting 3rd is traditionally a recipe for disaster. Gotta take the best player available (whoever you deem that to be) and figure out the rest later.
Bpa is my take as well. Ace ticks both boxes. Tre and VJ only tick bpa.

If we're following Morey-ism as a draft guide, we're weighing HS draft pedigree
highly, draft class status
↑ over age
↓, free throw shooting, and then underlying numbers as his key pillars.
— Maxey, Springer and McCain were all five star recruits, all freshman.
— Only Springer was still 18 on draft night. Maxey was 19.6 and McCain was 20.3.
— All three shot >80% from the stripe. McCain 88%, Maxey 83%, Springer 81%.
— McCain and Springer both posted strong box plus minus numbers. 6.9 for Springer, 8.5 for McCain.
Using these loose categories as a reference.
— Ace, Tre and VJ were all five star recruits. KK was a four star. All freshman.
— KK shot 91% from the stripe, Tre shot 87%, VJ shot 78% and Ace shot 69% from the line.
In terms of box plus minus, Ace posted a 4.5, Tre 7.7, KK 10.8, VJ 11.4.
Kon checks three of four boxes (HS pedigree). VJ loosely checks every box (ft%). Tre loosely checks every box (BPM). Ace checks two of four boxes (ft%, underlying statistics).
Morey's too intune with the numbers to select a poor performing highlight reel machine.
I'd reckon if we're staying at three, the obvious selection is VJ. If the conspiracy is true that we're trying to flush a swap with Charlotte (makes absolutely no sense), the target could very likely be Tre. If there was a trade back with the Pelicans, I'd say the target was KK.
