I don’t think the nerds upstairs told him to pull Fluharty for a guy with a 6 FIP
I'm inclined to believe former pro's who have told me moves like that come form upstairs. The Kevin Youkillis tweet is also right there for you.
I'm sure many moves are directed from upstairs (often in the form of pre-game planned meetings). I just don't think using Chad Green in that spot for Fluharty is one of them.

Great way to stretch Prince Harry out there, pulling him after two innings.

For real, he looked good and in command. Weird decision.

Maybe he can pitch on Saturday when Francis gets destroyed again.

What a difference in one month watching this same team compared to the one in May. Always difficult to Sweep a good team like the Cardinals on the road. Offense coming clutch, and the pitching has been on point. Hopefully Bowden Francis can turn it around in his next Start, and if not- he has One Option Left and should be sent to Buffalo.
Still hoping this team can acquire an okay 4th/5th Starter, with the abundance of Outfielders and some low-level high ceiling prospects this team has in the farm system. The best this team has looked in at least three years. A pleasure to watch this team compared to how they looked in May.

Gotta say I'm surprised at Yariel. Thought he looked very average last year. Now he looks super dominant in this relief role. I guess we can put any talks of starting him to bed.

And this is with a **** Guerrero and **** starting pitching save for 3 guys and blowmano 2.0 aka Jeff coughman.

Our farm system guys have really saved the season. Bo Bichette has been decent, Vlad putting up 800 OPS, Santander an absolute disaster of a signing, but bright spots everywhere else. Kirk is back to all-star, Springer is a good baseball player again, and Barger/Heineman/Lukes/Clement/Yariel have been nothing short of spectacular for us this year. I'm still a bit skeptical on how sustainable this is, but I sure do hope it lasts.

Re: Toronto Blue Jays @ St. Louis Cardinals
Another weird decision by Schneider was when we had Straw and Clase on with no outs and he asked Heineman to bunt, these 2 are probably the fastest players on the team, why not try to double steal? We ended up getting one home but that was a big missed opportunity there to have a big inning. We're winning and we're playing great but man does the manager take some very odd decisions...
Edit we scored 2 but the point remains, should have attempted to double steal instead

Should yariel just be the new closer?

I don't know. We only have 3 SP atm. Yariel may be the answer to that problem.

He’s seemingly found his role in MLB after a year plus of messing with him. I’d only move him as a last resort if one of the main 3 SP gets hurt, I think.

I don't even recognize this team anymore.
The Jays are like Goku training in a high gravity space capsule while traveling to Piccolo's homeland Namek and arrive with experience power level of 90,000.

To think they will (hopefully) add Santander, Varsho, Sandlin, Garcia, Scherzer in coming 1-2 weeks

He definitely is not.
A dominant RP >>> a mediocre SP pitching 4-5 innings
And he’s not built up for multiple innings at this point

The others, yes. But are we sure adding Santander is a good thing; this winning stretch coincides with getting him out of the lineup and off the field for players actually producing.
