I still dont understand why she was dropped. Its obviously not her talent. She would be the best player on the team. Both last year and this year.

Because she's obviously toxic to the point that no team will roster her. Unless you think there is a concerted effort by the entire league to blackball her for some unknown reason which would make no sense.

Is JuJu coming out next year? We look like we have a shot.

I would reword your statement to be "Because she's obviously toxic, to the point that every WNBA team thinks that it will be better without her. But the Sky, at least, is wrong about that."

I don't care what her attitude is, there's no way the Sky would be THIS bad with a legit scoring guard.

She can't.

And the Sky don't have their pick.

But then again, they have the pick of the Sun. So there is hope for a really high draft pick.

Juju can enter in 2027. So the Sky has a chance by then.

I hear what you're saying but I'm still comfortable with my wording. I watched probably 80% of the Sky's games last season and her attitude was terrible. And contagious. It was obvious she was having a negative influence on Reese as well as others. And that's without seeing/knowing what was happening behind closed doors, which I'm sure wasn't any better.

- She was suspended in July, 2021 by the Dream for "conduct detrimental to the team" for trying to fight one of her own teammates.

- She was benched and then waived by the Sparks in 2022 for "poor conduct".

- She was not offered a contract by ANY team in 2023. Wonder why?

- After a career season with the Sky in 2024 they wanted nothing to do with bringing her back. Again, neither did any other team.

And then there's this doozy of a social media post which exemplifies her complete classlessness...

https://athlonsports.com/wnba/chennedy-carter-makes-statement-after-big-chicago-sky-announcement

Basically celebrating Courtney Vandersloot's ACL tear as a "what goes around, comes around" type of moment.

Talented as she may be, there's basically no scenario where she's a more positive than negative addition to a team.

Good riddance.

rumor has it Lexie brown has been toxic in the past couple locker rooms she's been in (and apparently even said on her podcast she bullied the asian center that requested a trade from the storm), so I wonder how she's finding spots on rosters.

Back on track, I've watched a couple games this season (tough being in dallas) and they were rough. Im not sure what they thought would happen without a legit scoring threat.

Hey look, I agree that she's unlikeable. It's just a different approach than I am accustomed to as a NBA fan, where no amount of unpleasantness keeps a talented player off the payrolls.

I'm not sure that she will be a better WNBA player than Paige Bueckers, who is off to the best start in WNBA history for a guard. But one thing that I can predict is that Paige will never be as famous.

That’s the difference between 30 teams vs 13.

Paige looks like a good player, but there are levels to this.

Clark finished 4th in MVP voting last year as a rookie, and could potentially win it this year if she stays healthy the rest of the way.

Agree that there are levels to greatness ... but Paige's 35 point game is a sign that she might be at the top level. That game tied her with Cailtin Clark (and two others) for the 5th most points ever in a game by an WNBA rookie. That's a mighty encouraging sign for an all-around player whose value extends far beyond her ability to score.

But sure, we shall see. No question that Clark was the more valuable of the two players in their college careers, and that could happen again.

One can debate where she ranks among the top WNBA players, but there's no debating that she has the highest entertainment value. On that score, I would put her ahead of every NBA player, save for perhaps Steph.

Yeah, a healthy Clark is giving me peak Curry vibes. You just sit back a say wow.

Paige is an elite prospect too. Clark is just top 2 ever.

I think both are better than Juju actually.

I would take either over JuJu, but she's not joke. A two-way player who can score, score, score. And if her effiency doesn't quite match those of Paige/Clark, it's improving and is still pretty good for somebody who shoots that much.

Clark looked sharp, i wonder how much that quad was hammpering her to start the season.
