Yep. Trades aside, standard top 7 and then Nets going with Kasp.

I think Maluach will be the pick if he drop to 9. Queen is plan B.

Fully believe this and I think you can game out the rest of the top 8 from here.

Hornets will go with Ace or TJ. Probably Ace as that's always seemed like the perfect hilarious match for Ace.

Jazz go Tre.

Wiz could go in a lot of directions including Maluach/Queen, but I think ultimately they go with Fears.

Pels will go with Kon.

Nets are really the unknown. They may trade back or even trade up for Fears. But if they stick I wouldn't be surprised if they end up as the Essengue team. Otherwise, Kasp? Demin? Bryant? CMB? This is the biggest wildcard spot.

The fact that a joke of an organization like Philly can get VJ Edgecombe is such a travesty.

Failing upwards for a decade and still won't get past the 2nd round

Skal isn’t the only one I’ve gotten wrong over the years and I’ll happily take my L’s because I have just as many W’s, which you’re welcome to go look up with all that free time you have.

Yup, but when someone tried to use basic reasoning, you weren’t able to absorb it. That’s why you’re you

It's not that I have "too much time", I literally told you 10+ years ago why Skal sucked as a prospect and you came back with some illogical crap, got angry that we picked Siakam. Yet you're saying I'm the one who's lost. I come back 10+ years later and you still haven't learned.

First of all bud, you’ve only been a member here since 2024 so tell me you’re a returning banned user without telling me you’re a returning banned user. And yes, you have too much time on your hands because you allegedly watch all of these players entire game tape, and still have time to go through my post history to look up my bad takes. Meanwhile you completely ignore how I schooled your old banned account on Scottie Barnes, OG, Jak, etc etc etc

This is my last response to your asinine conversation, and general lack of comprehension skills.

Like I said, touch grass. Go get some vitamin D, the weather is nice. This is no time to hide in the basement.

I haven't closely followed b-ball for almost a decade, didn't even watch the championship run, only highlights.

Imagine getting offended by the thought of going back and watching game tape. Imagine not listening to anything true said about Skal and thinking that it's someone else who lacks comprehension skills. You gave zero counterpoints. I don't see how this isn't exactly a repeat of the Skal conversation. I broke down his game, you freaked out, got offended, cried, got mad, resorted to insults.

I actually watch Cashiggy. But it seems like you're the one with too much time on your hands.

It's really hard to picture Masai giving him a promise. I don't think we've ever been linked to a promise before. The African thing is too easy. It would be like saying Utah is going to draft Demin because he played at BYU.

We don't know if there's a promise just that they like him and others and we know they're looking big at 9.

One thing teams seem to agree on: Duke center Khaman Maluach is largely viewed as the leading center prospect in this class. And Toronto, sources say, is among the clubs that highly value the 7-foot-2 big man who played for South Sudan’s national team in the 2024 Summer Olympics

"The Raptors, though, have left various rival teams with the impression that they covet multiple centers at the No. 9 slot … meaning they might have another big man in mind should Maluach come off the board by the time Toronto is on the clock," Stein wrote.

And Fischer/Stein obviously they have a source in that FO based on track record, so this news is probably legit.

Whether that's smart or not by this FO is certainly up for debate but it makes sense since they have a clear need for a backup big and eventual successor to Yak so there's alignment there in terms of board and need.

Anyway, I'm down for either Mal or Queen. At the end of the day, we'll be getting a good big prospect that rounds out our prospect pool that we don't have to throw into the deep end.

It gives us another trade chip if we draft a good replacement. Whether it's Maluach, Queen or Fleming we should go with a big.

A stretch big would completely change the out look of the Raptors. The safest pick would probably be Fleming. He looks NBA ready and he isn't exactly "old". He can shoot, switch on defense, and he looks like a bigger OG

The Hawks want to move into the top 10. They have 13th and 22nd. I would easily do that deal considering the good drafts we usually have. It let's us grab a high potential prospect and a NBA ready prospect. My main targets would be Bryant/Essengue and Fleming, maybe even Wolf with that second 1st rounder.

Yeah, really like Fleming too. If he's there in the 20s, I'd find a way to use that 2nd rounder to move up for him. Would be a perfect Boucher replacement

Im not a draft expert and my information usually comes from reading articles. So is no one is concerned about Maluach’s feel for the game and his hands? Isnt that a recipe for disaster ?

If true that Queen had a good workout with us, that would almost certainly eliminate any athleticism doubts the Raptors may have had about him from their POV, coming out of the combine.

Ultimately you pick the talent first and foremost and you see how they are in games. From high school and college, he produced at a high level.

offensively he's a top 5 talent in this draft IMO

You gotta think his landing spot will be vital for his development. Defensively he needs to stay engaged - going to a team like Charlotte vs TOR would make a difference.
