Are there reasoning why the 60-70s player ( aka. Kareem /bill/wilt )are so low. Is it because you don't Rank relative to era and base on actual ability/Skillsets of a player? Or you had other criteria
I feel like Wilt showed shockingly little impact when switching teams. The Sixers were exactly .500 before and after he was traded there and the Lakers had a worse SRS the season after he was traded even though he was traded for a small return each time. Russell had a very limited skillset and was much more limited offensively than any other top center so I figure he largely won due to the ruleset being favorable toward centers and his main competition in Wilt not really being a winning player.
Kareem I have behind Duncan due to his lack of winning in the years between Oscar and Magic specifically missing the playoffs back-to-back years in his prime with 2 different teams while again being traded for a fairly small return. By contrast, Duncan won at least 50 games in every year of his 19 season career other than the '99 lockout-shortened season when the Spurs were on pace for 61 wins over 82 games. Seems hard to imagine the Duncan who carried a terrible supporting cast to a ring at age 26 going 40-42 on the '76 Lakers at age 28 like Kareem did. A lack of defensive impact is the likely culprit as the Lakers finished 13th out of 18 teams in defense during the '76 season. And yes, it is notable that this happened at a weak time for the league when it had doubled in size in the last decade, but still had yet to reap any of the benefits of the coming boom in interest from Bird and Magic.
