Except all Queen has done his whole career thus far whether it's AAU/HS and Maryland is win lots of games.

Winning in high school and college is no where near the same as winning in the NBA. 90% of these guys dominate until they get to the NBA.

not necessarily. and there's nothing that queen's done in terms of production in terms of analytical numbers or team results that points to him not being a winner player. it's subjective crap that doesn't hold up to scrutiny.

Morey has Ainge like qualities where he typically tries to rip off the team he's dealing with so I tend to believe that he won't be able to work out a deal and they will stay at 3.

How do posters feel about sending the #9 pick to OKC for 15 & 24 or for Topic & 24.

I'd rather go for ATL's 13/22. But I don't think they will do anything until they're on the clock so they can see what options are available.

Never said he’s not a winner or won’t be a winner, just that he falls in that same category of player. Pure hoopers, certified bucket getters.

Dumars draft history is shambolic, even worse than I remembered. I'd try to avoid the guy he's targeting.

I’m not moving down from 9 - I just feel like there’s a talent drop off after 9 (maybe even 8, but I think we get lucky and someone falls). Moving to 13+ is not the right call.

We got a bit lucky to fall in some sense because of both tax reasons and usually someone overdrafts a guy that has no business going top 8 (Noa or Demin).

True, I get that. Skilled bucket-getter. But he does have inate passing chops too which does give him somewhat a different dimension to his offense.

Its gonna be Mal or Queen and if both are taken we prolly take BPA that falls if that be Kon/Tre/Fears/Bailey....And make trades later...

By the way this board sounded the last month about draft prospects it sounds like it will be total meltdown city in here if we go with either Mal/Queen which is most likely scenario right now...

Obviously Queen was going to have a great workout with us....Like i said before when everyone was cooking Queen about the Combine....I said that didn't matter one bit because once Queen goes to team workouts they will see his true skills and talents in 5 vs 5 Scrimmiges, And how he prolly cooks the majority of players in this draft in that scenario which is what basketball is...

Queen or Mal ill be fine with....Hard to say which big will fall to us but it sounds more like Queen will be there at 9 rather than Mal with so many teams trying to move up to pick him, And im hearing Pelicans like Mal as well....Hard to see him falling to 9th....If both bigs are gone though one of Kon,Tre, Fears are on the board and that would be great for us as well.

100%. I’m rooting for him. His style of play makes him the type to be a fan favourite. I just want to ensure we get a guy who can help us win at the highest level.

Somewhat hot take: I think Maluach might slip on draft day. There’s been a lot of noise around him lately and part of me wonders if that’s Klutch/Rich Paul trying to use the media to get his stock back up.

I’m not willing to go all-in on that take but it’s something to consider.

For sure, I agree. I think he can def be that, especially since he's not gonna have a starting role right away or be expected to be some savior from day one. We can have some time/patience and let Darko and Co do their thing from developmental stand-point.

These mocks are always interesting because is it based on what they would do if they were GM of each team? or what they think the actual teams will do?

Personally, I'm more interested in reading from the viewpoint of the latter, tbh. Otherwise, it's just a bunch of fanfic. Maybe that's what all mocks are to an extent, but I'd rather circle in the reality of FOs will actually do at this point in the cycle.

As much as I'd really like Topic, I think that if OKC was willing to trade him after a year-long injury, that would be a major red flag.

I just want the draft to come and go. The wait is killing me, and I'm fine with any prospect in our range. I do have favourites, admittedly.
