I personally think KP is a perfect center to pair with Zion.

Yeah just what the pels need another injury prone player. He'd pair perfectly with Zion on the bench

He has been quite good with the Celtics honestly. Outside of the viral infection he has been available.

But yeah. its a risk, but KP is also an expiring...so it can be felt out for a season.

He's only played 57 and 42 games in 2 seasons for the celtics. I wouldn't call that available. Not to mention he's missed most of both postseasons

Celtics need to add multiple firsts for Pels to even consider.

Probably a terrible idea for both teams, but here goes:

Dejounte Murray, Herb Jones, Jose Alvarado, #7

for

Derrick White, Kristaps Porzinigis

New Orleans gets two perfect-fitting pieces around their core with championship experience to try and build a real contender around Zion

Porzingis/Missi/Kelly O
Zion/Matkovic
Murphy
CJM/Hawkins/Boston
White/Payton

Boston adds to the surgery wing for next year and reloads around Tatum/Brown with an eye towards the future

Horford/Kornet/Raynaud (#32)
Herb/Thiero (#28)
(Tatum)/Hauser
(Brown)/Knueppel (#7)/Schierman
Jrue/(Murray)/Pritchard/Alvarado

Cavs send Garland, Okoro
NOP send #7, McCollum, Jones, and a future FRP

Cleveland adds a bit more size with McCollum (and his expiring salary), get to draft the BPA, and have Jones as the new SF
Pels get Garland to lead the team.

Understandable. Would Bane in a 3 team deal with Utah make sense? Bane to New Orleans, #7 to Jazz and Lauri to Grizz.

I'd like from the Pels' side, if it's Murray as outgoing salary. Maybe Jazz gives up #21 or a 2nd to one of the teams. Would Grizz really want a Lauri for Bane swap? Like a super Aldama. Guess it gives them a different look over their small backcourt.

Bane to Pels
Lauri to Grizz
#7, Murray, Konchar/Clarke to Jazz

Pels get an all-star caliber 3pt scoring guard, move on from Murray.

Grizz change it up and get a 7ft spacer wing/forward while getting off some extra salary.

Jazz go full rebuild, swapping Lauri for an extra lotto pick and taking on salary.

I would love to get Herb added to this deal as well going to the Grizz. Comfortable adding two additional first to get it done.

Doesn’t work, Cavs can’t aggregate unless they get under the 2nd apron and stay there. Pretty sure this might go through in fanspo, but they didn’t give Mobley his DPOY raise.

Plus, the Cavs wouldn’t have the money to fill out their roster with minimums, let alone pay that #7 pick’s contract.

The Hoops Reference Podcast says the player the Pacers should make available is Ben Sheppard. He's a good defender and his shooting could blossom with more minutes, but I think we're likely to just bring everyone back after winning game 3 last night. still, what would you give for Ben and the 23? It need not be the 7. in fact, the deal could be for a backup center with no pick involved,

I'm rethinking this. Benn deserves to be a starting 2 and the Pacers need to start Nembhard there because Tyrese needs to play with someone who can play point when teams crowd him. I think Benn is worth the 7 all by himself and the Pacers 2025 first is more valuable than their 2026 first. I'd trade Benn for a pick high enough to get Maluach or Sorber if that's not the 7 what team other than the Pelicans would deal for Benn?

We would just start moving down the list.

Brooklyn? Probably not.
Toronto? Maybe.
Houston? This is interesting but they probably want to consolidate.
Portland? No need.
Chicago? I like his fit with Giddey.
Atlanta? They should add a rookie-scale salary, but they have the salary to send nothing back.
San Antonio? They have a glut of guards.

I should have added that I'd hope we could send him to a Western Conference team .
