What is the price tag for Martinez? I know Gala is interested and he is perfect for Turkish league but paying more than 20m on a keeper might be problematic.

We’ve quoted teams £35-40mill, but I can see us doing some sort of cash+player deal. I know we’ve held interest in Baris previously which i doubt you guys will want to part way with. There’s been talk since Jan for Gabriel Sara, so I can see a deal being maybe 20m+ one of them possibly?

Now that Sané is signed I wouldn’t mind parting with Barıs, it’s about time he moved on to a better league to prove himself. I know they valued him at around €30 million last year, so they probably can’t justify signing a goalkeeper for over €50 million. Sara would be a bit more difficult—not that he’s an amazing player, but he’s great at set pieces and it’s hard to find someone who can effectively play both as an 8 and a 10.

Hopefully Martinez comes over when he’s a bit older, so he can join the other South American piss-takers who became legends like Icardi, Felipe Melo and Diego Lugano.

I can’t really see us wanting Sara unless Tielemans or Kamara leaves really, we are pretty stacked in midfield. We even have to find a place for Barrenechea unless we end up selling him. However I can see us being interested in Baris, we’ve also just signed Yasin Ozcan and it might help getting a fellow countryman to settle them both in.

We’ve obviously benefited from the deal and it’s helped with FFP/SCR. Still some work to do with regards to SCR but that can be sorted over the course of the summer. I think Martinez and Bailey leaving will help with lowering our wages. Although I like him as a player and he was one of our better players this season, Digne will likely leave as he’s one of our higher earners. We’ve released Hause who was on a decent wage and Robin Olsen too. We still have Coutinho and Dendoncker on our books lol they need to go.We just can’t spend anything before June 30th, that accounting period from 21/22 should then roll off after that and our PSR situation looks better (thanks Gerrard). That’s without any sales before the PSR deadline.

I thought Watkins would be one of the ones to possibly leave but it doesn’t seem that likely, Roger’s we won’t sell unless something ridiculous comes in (even that I doubt it because Emery loves him like his son) and Konsa will likely stay as well.

I think Watkins is staying...also don't think we can afford for both Watkins and Martinez to leave in the same window. Both play a crucial role in our system and to lose both would be huge.

I was onboard with selling Duran. His mindset and maturity were always questionable and I think he will end up being a hugely wasted talent.

Liverpool has to win several stuff like probably CL title for the transfer to become PL record, as of now 100 million £ is under transfer record that is Enzo Fernandez.

If I were LFC fan I rather spend that money on a proven 22 year old than some striker from Benfica or a defensiva midfielder.

Entirely depends on how you view the transfer:

Those bonus payments would only become payable if the Reds achieve a sustained level of success - which would then make it a British record.

The British record for an initial fee remains Chelsea's £107m signing of Argentina midfielder Enzo Fernandez from Benfica in 2023.

Chelsea also brought in Brighton midfielder Moises Caicedo for an initial £100m fee, which could rise to £115m.

The move will, however, be a club record fee for Liverpool.

Yeah it is more technical the complete fee with performance based parts of the price. If I were a LFC fan, I don't mind paying the extra million pounds if It means winning bonus for my team. You can always sell or win PL to make 100s millions.

Rumours of Arteta and Berto not seeing eye to eye on the possible additions to the squad...

Edu left in november, wasn't replaced for the transfer period in january and now this?
Is Kroenke becoming a mad man?

Yeah, that has been rumored for a bit, but has been heightened by the Sesko vs. Gyokeres striker debate. One wants Gyokeres and another wants Sesko. Personally, I want Gyokeres because he helps us win now even though Sesko might be better long-ter,. I'm tired of buying guys based on long-term potential. Would rather just get a guy that potentially helps us get over the hump and finally win the EPL now.

Bayern are reportedly only offering 50M for Woltemade, whom Stuttgart has slapped a 100M price tag on. Will be very interesting where they meet, assuming it gets done.

Sell Havertz to Liverpool so he can go play with Wirtz again. Buy both Sesko & Gyokeres. :dontknow:

We just sold our women’s team to help PSR and will sell our music/events space as well. That bad loss year rolls off after today and our PSR situation looks good again. No fire sale needed.

We’ve agreed to reduce our wage bill down by 20% with UEFA SCR. That should be covered by selling Bailey, Martinez, Digne and Coutinho. Dendoncker is also still on the books as well as other young players that won’t get time at Villa.

Once the PL allowed Chelsea to sell their women's team, it was only a matter of time before another club followed suit.

Head-scratching as to why the PL gave the "OK" for this. Those in charge know fully well it's nothing more than shuffling deck chairs on the Titanic.

I don’t really agree with teams doing it but I can’t really blame any team for doing it as well. The PL clubs voted twice to remove it as a rule and voted against it. So i think majority of the owners in the PL want the loophole in place still.

PSR is a joke anyway, SCR should be slightly better as there’s not many loopholes to exploit.

Eze would be an outstanding signing for Arsenal, if that were to happen.

Meanwhile Spurs seem to be after Kudus. Is he any good? £60m seems like a lot of money for a guy who only scored 5 goals last season as a winger.

I think he is good. Very versatile, potentially to the detriment of his output.
