Hou/Mia

Post#1 » by spankz141 » Thu Jun 12, 2025 5:01 pm

Houston In: Duncan Robinson, #20 and 2027 1st Round Swap

Miami In: #10, Cam Whitmore and Jock Landale (NG)

Houston picks up a shooter who will be on an expiring contract and moves down the draft.

Miami moves into the lottery and picks up young player.

Robinson and a swap does not move Miami up 10 spots AND get Whitmore.

Rockets also get the #20 pick

So, the Rockets move from 10 to 20 AND give up Whitmore for a contract that Miami is trying to get rid of and a swap?

That's pretty terrible for the Rockets.

Just because Robinson is expiring doesn't make his contract positive value.

Robinson is a 40% 3 point shooter so I thought it would be helpful for the Rockets. Any thoughts on swapping Robinson for another Heat player...maybe Wiggins?

He would be helpful... But he's not moving you up in the draft a single spot
The money also does not work

Herro and Bam only Miami players Houston would want.
10, Whitmore and JGreen for Herro?
Only if Houston thinks he can be better.

The rockets very easily pass. The Heat simply do not have enough to move up to the 10th pick without ether including future draft capital(pick swaps don't count), Kel'el Ware(would to be sent to a 3rd team) or one of their top 2 players on the team. Duncan Robinson is simply expiring filler and nothing more.
