Orlando is looking for shooting and playmaking. RJ doesn't fit the bill.

"Undoubtedly, the Magic must improve their offense after ranking 27th in offensive rating last year. Ultimately, the Magic desperately need more shooting after finishing last in the league in 3-point field goal percentage."

"The Orlando Magic have a lot of needs they must address this offseason. Shooting is the obvious one. But playmaking might be a bigger key to unlocking that lost playmaking"

Is IQ + Dick for Suggs and 16th pick a bad place to start. I think Toronto sorely needs POA defense and a connective passer.

Suggs is really good. Despite tons of injuries, Orlando didn't start losing until Suggs went down. They're not giving him to us for IQ and Dick, let alone throwing in their 16th pick.

Let me DREAM! I've been super impressed with Suggs. I still think it's a win-win trade simply in terms of on court impact, with asset value left to the side. IQ and Dick would be well insulated on Orlando.

Garland but it will cost and hes out for half of next year.

RJ + #9 maybe?

Garland is out for 4-5 months, which means he'll be back by September/October

Hey if we strike out on free agency and do not draft a big, Mo Bamba on a vet min isn't too bad; better than Orlando Robinson, Castleton etc.

That was not a tfc game. National team games actually. I went last night, Kiwis vs Ukraine, and then Canada vs Les Elephants (Côte d'Ivoire).

The Raptors brass seems to have maintained a good relationship with Klutch - Hopefully if all the smoke about the Raptors' interest in Maluach is legit, Rich Paul pushes him to an environment with both great development and a clear path to opportunity to maximize that potential here in Toronto.

This is probably our RJ trade.

This trade would be a great move for us if RJ is going the other way.

If you know nothing about Johnathan Isaac and Cole Anthony and just look at their stats on paper. One's an unreliable Fox News host, the other is the most below average guard to ever exist. It's almost painful how "not good but still not the worst option you can have as a rotational guard" Cole Anthony has been throughout his NBA career.

The draft capital might be a sweetener but neither of those guys are really worth giving up RJ for, frankly.

Anthony is a good enough 3rd guard, definitely someone that can play playoff minutes on a team that intends to win. Isaac is a legit defender at the 5. I wouldn't be happy with that return for RJ, but it seems like the kind of move Masai would make while trying to shore up his bench for a playoff run.

Issac was once the Siakam stopper so let’s do it
2019 Eastern Conference All Stars

Derozan
Lowry
Ibaka
Valanciunas
Van Vleet
Delon Wright
Lebron
Embiid

There are only 2 teams in the league that rank in the top 6 in offensive and defensive efficiency: the Golden State Warriors and the Toronto Raptors.

I'm not buying the Raptors interest in Durant himself - I think they're just trying to get a seat at the table to either piggyback into the deal, or at least pick up some intel about what other teams are doing.

Really really really want Bennedict Mathurin, he's a RFA hope the boys go after him

Can create shots in the PnR, drive, decel into FTs, strong, can play D when he wants

Noted team that needs more guards: The Raptors who are definitely not drowning in them and definitely want a mediocre guard who by your own description is the backup to a team's backup. Hell, he barely played for the Magic when they were and remain desperate for competent guard play in the postseason.

Isaac is a legit defender at the 5.

He literally plays the 4 so this is just factually incorrect.

And he's had one season his entire career where he's played more than 60 games.

And this is with him being load managed so hard he barely crossed the 15 minute mark over the past 2 seasons.

And did I mention him basically being a Fox News host who hoops?

We aren't going to have any cap space for the foreseeable future.

Would the Atlanta Hawks have interest in RJ Barrett and can they use the huge expiring trade exception they have to absorb his salary while sending the Raptors mostly draft picks? Thanks.
