Which one of those two are pass first players ? Which one of them is the lead guard ?
How much better do you perceive Tre to be better than Walter

Maybe I'm crazy, but I'd give up #9 for any two of the players on your list from 13 to 25. Hello Atlanta....

I look at your list, and from 9 on down, I don't see anyone with a ceiling as better then the 4th best player on the team. Ace and KM included. That said, any one of these players currently has the potential to be that 4th best player. So why not double our chances of having one of them turn into something?

Ja'Kobe guards the opposing smallest player or better guard. Scottie is the point forward like a Luka.

Indiana showing that just need more at least secondary ball handlers that can shoot.

Yeah, what I was referring to was from Barlowe himself on a live draft Q&A where someone asked for some Raps Intel and that's what he shared. So pretty much just reiterated the same info. Which is further confirmation of what Fischer and Stein shared a few days ago. So it's pretty known info in league circles I suppose.

And If Washington or some other team goes with Maluach, they have Queen as plan B.

Least surprising news of the draft lol

I would be absolutely stunned if we passed on Khaman to the point I won’t be surprised as we get really close to the draft that we’re looking for a way to move up a few spots (especially with WAS) to pick him and they still get Queen and we add another minimal asset to ensure we “get our guy”.

Failing that obv based on reports we’re focused on adding a young C which only further confirms the words out of Masai’s on mouth at his last presser. So yeah I could still see us taking Queen but I genuinely believe Bryant will be an internal debate for our pick because yes we’re missing an “OG” type of player and I understand he’s not quite as big but he’d also likely get played at SG so he’ll be big for the position and still fully capable of playing SF as well as we certainly need a security blanket for BI’s health.

Plus players like him, OG, Neismith, Dort, Daniels etc….great defensive wings just are tremendously valuable that they are almost guaranteed to help you win and worst case are VERY valuable trade chips down the line even if he doesn’t add anymore to his game than what he has as a 19 year old which is obv ridiculous and those who can’t see he’s well ahead of OG at the same age offensively are blind or just want to hate because they like another prospect more. Carter is way ahead of him in understanding when to cut or go back door, literally all OG could do is camp out in the corners like PJ Tucker, Bryant already hits shots from multiple areas of the court that OG did not and while Bryant needs to improve his handle, OG literally dribbled the ball like an elementary school aged kid with just his right hand directly in front of his body, Carter can use both hands but again just needs to tighten it up and add more refinement.

Obv I could be wrong but I honestly think if Khaman is on the board, he’s the pick (period). If not, I’ll say Queen like 55%, Bryant 35% and Essengue 10% (who I don’t even like but I just think those are the guys I see the FO liking). Personally I’m starting to hope for drafting Bryant and trading Ochai or Gradey to draft Yang as the best possible outcome imo.

Masai doesn't always take players we've worked out, for example, we never worked out Ja'Kobe last year before picking him. However, we did work out Mogbo, Shead, and Battle who we did take in the 2nd round and as UDFA respectively, so we might be able to read more into workouts for our 2nd rounder than our 1st. Based on the list below (which probably isn't comprehensive yet), I would tentatively guess our pick at 39 will be one of Sion James, Ryan Nembhard, or Jamir Watkins, with the slight edge to Nembhard.

Another thing that’s probably been said about trading down: we’re probably going to add two guys with our existing picks in this draft. They’ve made comments this past season about having “too many young guys to develop” so I think it’s very unlikely they add more than 2 in this draft. You think about Dick, Walter, Ochai, Mgobo, Shead, Battle - you add even two guys to that and you’re basically at the likely capacity they want to be in terms of youth.

I think it’s way more likely that they would package 9 + 39 to move up and get Maluach or someone else who may fall that they really like than to trade down for more picks.

Ryan Nembhard is going undrafted. It would be shocking if he's picked early in the second round given how much thinner the talent pool got on the backend of this draft.

Thanks for letting me know. Can you tell me if it's going to rain on Canada day so I can plan accordingly.

No, but I can tell you whether it will rain on July 27th in Uzbekistan.

Not that you need to be psychic to know a sub-6' guard who's only shooting 77% from the FT line, bad at getting to the line and who's largely getting name recognition because of his brother isn't a high second round selection.

Very different plan B than their plan A.

I think they just want a solid backup now and a possible long-term solution at the position. And although the two players do have a different profile they're both ranked pretty similarly on most boards while filling a need so either way it's a net benefit. I do like that they're willing to be flexible and adaptable depending on the player and aren't necessarily married to any one archetype. Diversity of skillset is a good thing.

Another joined on January 2024 account who knows everything. Your old account must have some truly embarrassing takes to need to create a new one so recently.

Also, don't move the goalposts. You said he's going undrafted. I have no idea whether he will or not. I'm just speculating interest based on who we've worked out and what we did last year.

I'm not complaining, i'd be thrilled with Derik Queen at 9 (Maybe trade down to 10 for, I dunno, an extra second from the Rockets?) even if i'm of the mind he's more a PF than a center.
