Exactly why they are not getting KD.

This!!
Miami's offer of Rozier/ Robinson/ Jovic/ and only one 1st ( 20th pick)/ 2030' 1st isn't terrible, but it's far from competitive considering what the other teams are suggesting to give up for KD.

Essentially what you're getting would be:

- Around 45 million in expirings (Between Rozier and Robinson).
- Mediocre prospects in Jovic and Jacquez neither of which have been outlier at anything.
- a late first ( 20th pick).
- 2030' 1st. Could be good, but it's so far out that it doesn't matter much because there's no telling what Miami might become.

At minimum they'd need to add their 28' 1st too OR acquiesce to include Ware! And can keep Jacquez. I'd put their package somewhere around 5th to 6th in equitable value out of the 10 teams suggested packages for KD.

How about bad contract for bad contracts?? Beal for Grant/ Timelord/ Reath?? Then Beal could still be close to California, also be the main guy for the blazers, and then they could trade Simons for another important option?

Not really surprising to anyone considering how everything has turned out being similar in modus operandi to how he dismantled the Knicks so quickly while there too! Simply a lot of parallels.

Thomas should be banned permanently from interacting/ advising any NBA franchises (with the exception being the lakers.......Lol).

I don’t hate it … just not sure Beal makes sense

They get money quicker with Beal off in 2027

This was proposed on the trade board before, for those interested in looking at the responses:

PG is the worst contract in the league. Not Beal.

Gross. I would rather deal with the Wolves.

What does the Wolves have to offer that is more enticing than what the Rockets have?

Gobert/Dillingham/picks and potentially more from a third/fourth team.

Green is a non-starter IMO.

Gobert is a non-starter

You want Green over a DPOTY center?

I don’t think it’s worth it for a draft pick

Trading Beal creates negatives. I was good for the players… no draft picks

Yes, agreed. There have been a bunch of Beal for PG trades proposed on the trade board as well with some arguing the Suns owe money - which is crazy to me for an older, worse player in PG who is owed more money on a longer contract to boot.

I agree and I also don't like the idea of adding Grant because his contract is a year longer than Beal's.

Unless the short term savings from grant open up amazing new possibilities which allow the Suns to add a quality new player, I'd rather just grind it out with Beal for two years and have a ton of capspace to work with when Beal expires. The grant trade seems like a bandage solution when surgery is needed.

The idea would be that no draft picks need be exchanged as both Beal and Grant are considered top 2 and 3 bad contracts in the league behind Paul George's contract. And both teams regret their contracts and have been looking to move them if possible.

The sticking point would be if Beal would be willing to go to Portland? And be the main guy there? If not, maybe a 3 team trade that sends Beal to Milwaukee to play with Giannis, Lillard can come back to Portland, and Grant and Timelord can come to Phoenix. Supplemental pieces could be added/ worked out if necessary?

I thought Flex retired but now he is implying the Grizzlies/Raptors are involved in the KD trade?

I'm not sure Flex is any more reliable than DColdest.

I don’t want Cam Johnson back. He was a decent complimentary player but ain’t all that. Plus he’s always hurt. Give me something else.

Gambo will have an out because he always use the tired and true method of “these things are fluid and things can change at any minute” when you are just throwing things against the wall hoping it sticks.
