We’re such ass in extra innings. It’s a high pressure situation, just like the World Series. Our relievers can’t do **** and our hitters make dumb mistakes, base running errors, and can’t even get a sac fly even when they get a dude to third.

I wonder if we are mentally afraid of the Red Sox the way that we are of the Dodgers. Boston is quite mediocre yet the Yankees have looked like a completely different team against them than they've had against teams like KC, Cleveland, Toronto and even the Mets.

Are we really going to allow the Sox to curb stomp us in every series because the guys on our roster simply cannot handle the pressure of playing a rival?

I know there are many Yankee fans who have zero issue with Boone, but a lot of this falls on him. I acknowledge that he is not the guy batting, pitching or playing defense on the field but what the heck does he even say to his players before high pressure games to mentally prepare them? Does he really do anything, or is he just a mouth piece for Hal and Cashman like many argue?

Not only do the Yankees not have championship standards anymore. Losing to the Redsox has been accepted the annoying thing is even Yankee fans don't care anymore. Team is as soft as it gets.

The truth is the Redsox are closer to winning a World Series than the Yankees are. Redsox will be in a bit of rebuilding mode for a year or two, and when they put together a title contending team they have cashed in on their opportunities unlike us.
