I get it, he's going to be a FA after this year and wants to try to pump up his value. But it rubs me the wrong way when players do this publicly. Request a trade, fine, but STFU about it.

He's been bad, but he was a hot name once upon a time. Only two years of service time left, but I like taking the chance here.

Civale for Vaughn in a vacuum is probably a bad trade(Civale is better than Vaughn), but given our starting rotation depth, taking a flier on Vaughn is atleast something with some upside
