Not believing in the moon landing doesn’t make you an idiot.

It makes you ignorant, and an incurious person who doesn't want to take 5 minutes to learn something new.

Not believing in things that have overwhelming evidence that they happen/exist with zero contradictory evidence that has been verified and peer reviewed absolutely is stupid.

Everyone has an opinion, doesn't mean they are all equally valuable or should be respected as such. There are tons of people who don't believe the holocaust happened, are they also not idiots?

imo, its not his opinion thats the problem (though it is problematic) its the fact that young impressionable people are going to be watching this and agree with / be influenced by it
Just 8* years ago Andrea Bargnani was my franchise player, you MF'ers can't rain on my parade

I don't see how that's shocking....moon landing is a starter kit conspiracy theory.

Unfortunately this is kind of a by product of the one and done era, and the concept of a scholarship being a free university education not being valued anymore. My old man yelling at clouds point of view is that many if not most players of the 60s and 70s were smarter just by having 4 years of university. Autobiographies I've read by Bill Bradley, Kareem, Bill Russell, Bill Walton, Lenny Wilkens, Oscar Robertson, Clyde, Rick Barry, Jerry West, showed me they were intelligent articulate men. Not all the guys of those eras were like that of course, but a higher percentage than now I'm sure.
There goes my hero. Watch him as he goes.

Ok, this isnt Raptors related content. But its so f*cking outrageous belief, I was shocked when Herro said that :o

I reckon a lot of players shares the same belifs as Herro, they just wont openly express them moving forward.

NBA Players, are not always smart people. LeBron said something similar as he was dicussing X and Os, that he was surprised that some players couldnt flip a play in their head.

Sports IQ is way different from actual IQ though.

I've played basketball with ivy league level doctors that had the worst bball IQ I've ever seen and did not have any court vision to save their life...and I've played with high school dropouts that know how to play, move the ball, get in proper position, strong court awareness etc.

Anyways, remember that guys like Herro are kids that have been exceptionally gifted athletes since their teens, never really had to focus on school, and have just dedicated their careers to basketball...they have little knowledge of history, politics etc. and are easily susceptible to conspiracy.

Disagree, they are the same thing. It all comes down to pattern recognition and processing skills. Also, knowledge =/= IQ. Finally - and I don't mean to offend anyone here - a lot of Doctors have average IQ/intelligence.
