Miami could actually be a dark horse here IMO, if they're willing to offer Kel'el Ware. Suns would probably be very interested in that.

Spurs never really made a lot of sense. Wemby is too young to pair with KD. According to the latest rumors, Pelicans might be trying to move up in the draft. Maybe the Spurs move down, and snag TM3 in the process.

If the trade is happening now, can they even offer Green, because of his PPP?

They can agree to it now verbally, make it official July 6th.

Are the Suns allowed to request the Rockets to draft player X for them at #10 if the trade needs to be after the draft? I might have read somewhere that "technically" you're not allowed to, but want to confirm.

No Toronto phew!

i wrote this in the nba thread but i see a few possibilities

- basketball wise, if scottie isn't included then we would be opening up a hole in another part of the roster, most likely center so we would still need a major follow up move. the price is probably too expensive.

- kd may not even want to come to toronto in the first place

You could do Barrett, Poeltl and Dick or Barrett, Poeltl and #9 and then whichever you keep between Dick or #9 turn that into your starting Center through another trade or the draft.

Didn't Cleveland do that when they drafted Wiggins and traded him to Minnesota. I think they had to wait 60 days to make it official.

Yeah I don’t know if it’s worth it for Miami. KD will be better than Ware next year and probably the following year but how much gas is in the tank after that?

That was a different situation, cause they agreed to trade after Wiggins had signed his contract so they had to wait 60 days.

In regular situations they pick for other team then on June 6th make trade official.

Might be too late I. The game, but if KD is willing to extend and Raps can do a RJ, Jakob and future first for KD I think I would consider. KD still was a monster last year despite being 37 and has 3-4 years of ball left in him. He changes the whole offensive dynamic of the team and is not a slouch on defense. If we can keep this years pick to draft a C and maybe get Richard’s back in a second deal. We could also move one of Dick, Ochai or Walter to acquire more C depth.

IQ
BI
KD
Barnes
Malauch

I think that’s a competitive team in the east.
