He said the Knicks made a trade deadline offer for KAT which hasnt been cooberated by anyone. Then he consistently said the Knicks were involved in KD this summer.

And now there are only 3 teams really focused on KD trade and he didn't mention the Knicks.

CP said the KD trade proposal at deadline was Cap. And KD is pretty outspoken and said the Knicks have no interest in a player of his age.

Shams reporting on Knicks has been pretty suspect because he's getting it from backdoor channels since no one from Knicks talks to him.

I don't mind if we keep him as a 25 min bench player (his ideal role) but I think it may be best for us to sell high if we can find better fitting pieces. Also, Hart not being here may be good for Brunson... fewer distractions and less favoritism.

It's been pretty shaky at best. Nothing adds up. It pretty much suggests he doesn't have any legit reporting on the Knicks.

He probably will break a story like the hire or a trade because he has sources at league offices. But he's been pretty off base with any Knicks related rumors.

he did say thibs was safe shortly before he was terminated. i'm starting to believe he's not necessarily a shams/woj level authority on knick ongoings

Yeah I didn't mention even the coaching search which he has been of base with as well. Basically if he's getting info he's surely not getting it from the Knicks side.

Knicks value Hart more than any other team. Don't think we'd get anything worth a move unless it's a part of a bigger deal and salaries needed matching.

If Shams can't even reach Shams level authority, that's a problem for him

But he doesn’t have to get information from the Knicks to still have information and Knicks denying it doesn’t make it true. He did say it was 7-8 teams that called with interest but over the last 24 hours only the three teams he mentioned have gained any traction. Not just us but Spurs were one of those teams and they aren’t on that list anymore, despite being one of KDs preferred destinations. It’s probably that Suns asking price is too high for a team like the Spurs and not enough young player/draft pick compensation from a team like us.

I don't think the Knicks are as interested as he was leading people on to believe. We have multiple Knicks reporters that say we don't have interest.

Even windhorst changed his reporting the other day saying KD has interest in the Knicks. Its not the other way around.

I don't think the Knicks can take the risk of trading for him for KAT straight up or even gutting there roster with 3 players (when we already aren't deep) since he hasn't been really healthy and he's up there in age with an expiring contract. It just doesn't fit the type of player the knicks have been targeting over the past couple years.

If KD was a free agent than yeah, but he isn't a fit in a trade scenario for the Knicks.

A Kevin Durant trade now could occur by the end of this weekend, per @ShamsCharania on @PatMcAfeeShow.

The Heat, Rockets and Timberwolves are submitting their final offers to the Suns.

Negotiations with Phoenix are going very quickly as they want a firm solution by the draft.

*no mention of Knicks

Do the Rockets still have an excess of picks or did they send most of them back to the Nets?

Feels like they would be the #1 spot.

I used to like Trent Jr but feels like he's fallen off lately. Is that so, or still enough in the tank?

At this point, is he better than Shamet? I mean, even only a little, that's good.

I feel like he's been in the league 12 years, but he's only 26.

His best years came when he hit the corner 3. Now he can't hit it consistently, for some reason, but he's really solid on above the break 3's.

He's like opposite of Mikal this past season.

Knicks already went all in so there aren’t many avenues to go now. They put themselves behind the eight ball when they made the Mikal and KAT deals. They know they are pressed for time now because they already committed to building a championship team so now you have to explore all possibilities and there is no waiting around anymore. If you believe they are being thorough in the coaching search and exploring all possibilities then how do you not believe they are doing the same in trades? Durant is still a wanted player league wide, Heat want him, TWolves want him, Rockets want him and I’m sure there are others who have expressed interest but even the three teams mentioned above are willing to commit to him because it’s still Kevin Durant. I’m not sure what we offered or what was discussed during trades but knowing that would help me get a better idea of if I personally like it or not but I will say I’m not sold on this current core so I’m definitely open to all possibilities as long as it gives us a better shot at it.

The knicks should just concentrate on building a quality bench like the Pacers.
