The Heat's flexibility certainly puts them in a great position to get this deal done, looking at Minnesota/Houston it is really difficult to put together deals that make sense for both teams or even involve a 3rd team.

I don't think the Heat will give up Ware, despite them trading younger players in the past for proven stars, none of them had the upside Ware has.

Claxton might be movable for #20 this year + Terry (maybe they'd ask for a bit more from Heat or Suns), which is probably close to his value.

Suns could end up with smth. like Wiggins / Claxton / Jovic or Jaquez, seem like a fine return for KD if they just want win now players and stay competitive.

Remember who called this first when it happens Bammy. Did all the math and weighed out all the options when the season ended. I’m the least bit surprised where we are at right now. Contracts, youth, and Suns needing to get out of apron have all lined up in our favor to get this over the finish line.

I hope he turns it around in Phoenix and becomes there Mexican Thunder Dan. He can become a fan favorite.

This will actually be an incredible market for him because of his background. Wish him the best.

And hope it's just him and not Jovic lol

Probably the big difference is Miami is 1) willing to give Durant a max extension and 2) teams are holding back their best assets which makes Miami's assets look more palatable by default.

It'll be interesting to see if Brooklyn is involved in this deal at all (regardless of which team gets Durant).

This is what i’ve been saying. Especially the extension part. With all the dead weight expiring’s being filtered into Kevin Durant. Perfect storm.

It’s really a homerun spot for him and gets him back closer to home in the West Coast. Not sure we’ll be able to keep Jovic out. They wanted him at the deadline and have a desperate need for a 4.

Spurs going to end up with Claxton and Cam Johnson along with more future draft capital to put in play for Giannis.

If they get KD and retain some ammo you can expect another move in short order. Young guys might all be gone by the end of the offseason, I think this would signal Miami going all in and trying to win the title in the next 2 years.

I think it'll take one more piece, whether a 1st, a swap, Anderson, Jaquez -- potentially with him going to Brooklyn for one of the Suns' picks back or at least with some protections added -- because of the potential offers from Houston/San Antonio.

Miami's offer has to get Phoenix under the 2nd apron, imo.

Would Phoenix actually want a declining, meh player like Gobert for ~$40/m a season? I just have a hard time seeing Minnesota coming up with a really good offer. Houston can put together a good offer, but they'll hold back their best youngins. Sheppard showed very little last year and Whitmore isn't a clearly better prospect than Jaquez.

im not 100%, but I think dealing for Duncan gives them exactly what they want because of the nature of his deal.

Wiggins, Duncan and #20 would be excellent for us.
