I'll be very surprised if Hardman makes the team.

If Hardman makes the team it'll be because of his return skills. If hes only just "kinda" the best option their he isnt making the final cut

I can't see Hardman making the team after the draft. Even before the draft, he was on the bubble.

Relaying of comments by Jaire's father (Landis Alexander) about the final contract discussions:

https://www.acmepackingcompany.com/2025/6/14/24449480/green-bay-packers-news-jaire-alexander-father-landis-contract-restructure-proposal-2025-rumor

From the article
While we don’t know the exact details of the contract offer that Alexander received, this certainly provides some context for what has been unfolding over the past couple of months. There’s a blame game revolving around Alexander’s injuries, and the Packers didn’t want to pay full price for Alexander after missing 20 games over the last two seasons.

If Landis’ claim that Jaire’s contract was to feature no guaranteed money, this probably means that the deal proposed to Alexander would have featured a base minimum salary with the rest of the money tied to per-game roster bonuses, essentially week-to-week team options that depended on whether the coaching staff wanted to move forward with Alexander, with the health of the former All-Pro cornerback also being a factor at play.

The next bit will be who's interested in Jaire, and how does he do in a physical? I'm sure there's a ton of interest out there, but any contract offer may come with lots of caveats. I could see where Jaire would like to avoid as much of the wear-and-tear risk of pre-season as possible, and teams wanting to see the "goods". Where he goes may come down to who is willing to risk the most guaranteed money.

Sorry Landis, but Jaire wouldn't have been playing "for free". If he played he would have got paid, if he didn't play he wouldn't. I understand why he wants guaranteed money but I also understand why the Pack wasn't willing to give it to him, beyond the min.

Tickets for Aug. 2 Family Night are on sale now. Around $12 including fees. They are selling parking too but there is plenty of free street parking available if you get up there at a reasonable time. It's just a practice, they give away stuff, fireworks after. It's an affordable way to take your kids to Lambeau.

Sounds like it could be a make or break year for Gute and MLF.

I'll wait and see on Policy but I've seen way too many instances of new "leadership" making changes just to say they made changes, they feel they can't just go with the status quo.

Some of you may be fine moving on from Gute and MLF. I think it would be a big mistake. I'm not saying they are perfect. We can 20/20 hindsight tons of stuff (and with every other GM and coach in the league). But I think they are pretty damn good.

This is my big worry too. That at the end of the year Policy feels he needs to "shake things up" and we lose a talented HC/GM duo.
Coach Drew: "Milwaukee has always been a team that I have been intrigued by. When we played them, they were a tough team for us to play. Although we did beat them all four times"

One interesting thing from the article:

While speaking with the media, Policy revealed a handful of ways he may operate differently than his predecessor. The executive noted that he’ll “increase the amount and the time of formal meetings with football leadership” in an attempt to remove any silos between his top decision makers. However, Policy was quick to clarify that he’ll let his top leaders do their jobs.

“I’d stay out of their business,” Policy said. “I would not meddle in what they do. I would communicate very frequently and openly and directly with them on all things, but certainly no team needs two head coaches or two GMs. Not a lot of change in the way Mark had done that.”

He's going to stay out of their business and not meddle but wants more "formal meetings with them". If by more he means once a month instead of every other month or something like that fine. But FFS, get out of their way and let them do their jobs. We've all had people we've reported to who have way too many meetings.

Yeah, I'm fine with a change if it feels inevitable/necessary but the NFL and single elimination playoffs causes a lot of silly narratives to take hold based on only a handful of games (3-4 playoff record under Gute/MLF). Unless this roster starts under-achieving in the regular season, change just for the sake of change is dumb.

Super!

Adding Golden and Wiiliams in the draft, and even Hardiman should be good extra incentive to be diligent in his rehab
