I feel like the Knicks might be the one. Bridges comes back to Phoenix, in addition to Hart and Robinson and whatever picks.

It seems like Houston would have to eat into their core identity too much for a 36yo Durant. Timberwolves would need to involve Randle and something else of worth but is that enough for KD? Spurs would have to include Fox, which seems unwise to trade a 27yo good player + another piece for 1-2 years of old KD. Especially since Spurs likely want to build for a window of 5-7 years.

I'm just not really sure what KD's value is that this point. As a Thunder fan, I might do Hartenstein/Joe/Topic and some 2nds but I'm guessing that's not enough. I don't want to give up any of their top 8-9 players (except Hartenstein would have to be included for salary matching) and I don't want to give up any 1sts.

Even if Thunder loses in the Finals they're still in great shape for next 4-5 years. I'd keep the core intact.

Sounds like KD will be traded by next week and if not by next week, then for sure before the draft the week after.

So based on the reports, sources and word on the streets, where is KD going?

Early this week it sounded like my Spurs were a done deal (per Bill Simmons erroneous reporting), but now it seems like Timberwolves, Miami and even Houston are giving better offers.

What Bill said on his podcast after Game 2 while talking to Russillo was (paraphrasing) was he wouldn’t be surprised if Spurs already had a deal in place to trade for KD and they would finalise it at the draft. He also said don’t aggregate this and he doesn’t know whether it’s true.

Of course all the hack faceless social media, such as Hoops Forever or NBA Central, said it had happened, per Simmons.

Reluctant isn't the same as refusal. Honestly, the Heat have gotten burned in the past by refusing to put good, but not great, prospects into deals. I suspect they get a deal done and maybe the draft capital is a little light.
