CP/KFTV setting the record straight on a few things.

1. Mike Malone is not being considered at all

2. Johnnie Bryant remains on the list

3. Leon will make the ultimate decision

4. The process is nothing more than the process. The Knicks are doing their homework on who's available and who's not and making a list. Doesn't care about the talking heads.

5. He said that all these reporters saying Leon doesn't talk to anyone need to speak for themselves. He talk to people, just not them. Hinting that he's one of the people in the know.

6. Sounds like Jenkins has a lot of question marks. The major thing is locker room management Mike Brown is more favorited. The front office like a lot about him.

7. Kris Pursianen - The FO told thibs during the Celtics series to use different lineups outside of the starting lineup to get ready for the Pacers series and he refused. They bascially wanted to replace Hart in the starting lineup, and told Thibs he will be safe if it didn't work. He still refused to try something different until it was too late. This goes back to Jay Will saying that Leon and Thibs had tension on the sideline during the playoffs. So now they're looking for a coach that's more flexible and can make adjustments.

Man whatever the inside dirt on Malone is must be really bad. Definitely not someone who would view the dichotomy between the coaching staff and front office as a collaborative partnership.

According to SNY's NBA Insider Ian Begley, the read on the Knicks' coaching situation is that it will continue into next week and heading into the weekend Taylor Jenkins and Mike Brown are among the coaches on New York's radar.
With regard to the Knicks getting denied permission to speak with current head coaches, at least one of those coaches was able to benefit financially from New York’s interest, per Begley

Considering only coaches with HC experience is very limiting. Recently successful coaches Mazulla - Daigneault succeeded as first time HC, and you arent getting a Carlisle with what is available out there

I really hope it's not Mike Brown. Before anyonr mentions his offense. The 2 years SAC was really good Jordie Fernandez was the coach. And he was credited for there offense.

I’ll give Mike Brown credit, that first season with the Kings was amazing.

There’s issues with both Jenkins and Mike, both of them lost the locker room, one of them is bad with x’s & o’s & struggles with rotations (Mike), the other integrates the team more in the offense, utilizes 5 out offense, but struggles with getting the strengths and hiding the weakness out of their best players (Jenkins).
