Nets are not trading Cam Thomas. Claxton is overrated IMO.
Good to see that we are calling the Spurs bluff.

I think the suns are trying to posture as they should. You can’t let the spurs have their cake by keeping the #2 and castle unless they give us the vassel/sochan/filler/14 and a future 1st. The Minnesota trade is exclusively catering to the draft heads outside of Gobert who doesn’t excite me at all being that he’s 32 and trending down.
Either Texas trade is what I’m hoping for. Not the idiotic Dillon brooks/green package either. The convo starts with Jabari smith in Houston.
Yeah, I was going to put this into my previous response too. Could just be trying to drum up leverage with San Antonio, VERY possible.
I can't see the Spurs bluffing. When in modern history have the Spurs bluffed? It certainly wasn't when they traded for Fox.

I still think Houston is the best partner, hopefully they step up with the best offer and we are able to parlay Jalen Green elsewhere/in a 3 way for more assets. Just don't see the fit with book

I guess that they don't value KD as much as other teams.
We are not trading him for scraps.

What are the other good offers? Miami is listed as a front runner, and the reporting is they won't even include Ware, but are interested in building the deal around Jovic, Highsmith, etc. They're not even putting in Hero.

Ultimately I believe the Wolves have the best offer. Heat have to include Ware otherwise they will not get KD.
Rockets have to include Jabari and picks but I don't think they are making serious offers.

The Wolves offer is almost certainly Randle and minor other stuff. Is that really a good offer?

Gobert/Dillingham/DiVincenzo/picks. Not interested in Randle.

I don't see the Wolves doing that though. Has any credible Wolves insider suggested that is even on the table?

We just declined the Spurs offer which means we have a better one.
Yes. Gobert in a trade deal has been discussed in media circles.

I heard that podcast too, and at no point did Lowe infer that it was a deal he had heard the Wolves were looking to make. He basically said 'well, some guys I talk to said maybe the Wolves could trade Gobert for KD?' Given the actual offers being leaked (e g. the Heat one) it's clear that idle speculation from weeks ago is not where the KD market actually is. Remember, the Heat are among the 'top 3' teams in the bidding according to Shams, and Vegas thinks so too. Why would the Heat be offering Jovic and Highsmith, and getting traction, if the Wolves were already offering Gobert and DDV? The Heat can't beat that, and wouldn't even be part of the talks anymore.

I think we are asking for Ware/Jovic/Highsmith/picks. Heat said they are reluctant to add Ware.
Therefore we have a competing offer and I believe it centers around Gobert because Ant has been aggressively pushing for KD.

Once the Heat add Ware-and they will, it'll Trump any non Castle/#2 offer the Spurs put forth.
Spurs will need to step it up if you want him IMO. The Keldon Johnson/Barnes/#14 poop platter won't get it done, I'll bet.

By that logic Gobert isn't in the deal the Wolves are offering right now, which is what I said. I also don't see them including him. You're just hoping they will, if the Heat include Ware (which also hasn't happened yet). It sounds like the offers right now (Jovic & Highsmith, Randle, etc) are actually worse than the Spurs offer (probably something like Barnes, Vassell & 14), which is why Vegas still has them with the top odds.

Do you honestly think there was ever any prospect of the Spurs trading #2 or Castle for a 37 yr old KD?
