What would you want from the Rockets?

Jabari and at least 2 of our picks back.

That is not enough. What would be your full trade package?

Think to make the money work as a 2nd apron team, it'd need to be green/jabari/jock + as many picks as we can get. Then flip green to a 3rd team for a center or more assets.

Now idk what the logistics are if we can get under the 2nd apron by getting rid of milic/Martin and can somehow bring in Brooks or something.

Rudy/Donte+ package from Minn probably the best short term offer on the table but I'd rather get more picks as we aren't winning with Rudy anyway

Spurs will need to step it up if you want him IMO. The Keldon Johnson/Barnes/#14 poop platter won't get it done, I'll bet.

Do you honestly think there was ever any prospect of the Spurs trading #2 or Castle for a 37 yr old KD?

Zero chance a young team like the Spurs are trading the #2 for KD as it doesn't fit the timeline.

Suns would be doing good to get #14 for KD with matching salaries.

What don’t you get if they GET KD their timeline is now , not 5 years

I agree that the twolves trade is short term and still might only get the play in game at best

At least with rockets there might be potential for more … in time

Going through page after page after page of people getting excited about getting scraps for KD is wild to me. I don’t care about his age. Serious teams will give up anything to get him. He’s still a top 10-13 player in this league.

This is the only time I’m going to side with bullISHBIA. Either shell out good players and picks or kick rocks needs to be the message to other teams.

I’m sorry but Socha and Vessel and the 14th pick is unserious trash. Go pound sand Spurs.

I haven’t seen a good trade suggested yet for the top 15 player in the league who still averaging 25+ points a game on this board yet. Some people acting like he’s two feet away from retirement and can barely play.
I am such a lucky NBA fan. 8647 My favorite team went from the most greedy and racist owner to the most ego driven dumbass owner in all of sports fdt.

Only a fan of Arizona teams!

KD isn't a top 15 player. Dude is also proven that he cant be the leader on the team.

Look up his advance stats, his stats and efficiencies.

He's definitely a case for top 15 player if not higher.

He was a top 5 player last year most of the year by most people even media. This year his stats are the same except the Suns were terrible and even Michael Jordan prime couldn't save a horrific team with worst fitting players ever.

Stop selling KD short. He's an immense talent and similar to LeBron when he was 36 years old. KD can play until he's 40.

Yeah KD was great last year, just sucks he only has 1 year left on his deal. Still rather gamble on holding him til the deadline than taking that trash vassell/barnes/14 offer

Duane Rankin:

A handful of teams are in contention for him with the Houston Rockets and Minnesota Timberwolves being two of them, sources informed The Republic.

ESPN’s Shams Charania reported on Friday, June 13, that the Rockets, T-Wolves and Miami Heat are the current front-runners.

A league source informed The Republic the Rockets would be the ideal landing spot for Durant, saying they need a “go-to guy” in the fourth quarter and have draft picks and young players to offer the Suns in return

Awesome. Rockets can send over those young players (not Green) and picks.

Jalen Green, Jabari Smith, Cam Whitmore, #10 and future draft capital.

This is the most logical trade for both sides and I think we are discussing about what draft capital we can get from them. We need to get at least one unprotected pick next to that package IMO.

#10 would be a great addition. There are a couple of nice prospects projected around that pick.

That's very promising. Maybe we aren't going to get shafted on this trade like I've been expecting...
It's the Suns. We will. But I do like the optimism.

4 unprotected first round picks

2025 Suns (pick 10)
2027 Suns
2028 Houston
2029 Suns

For

Durant

And they can trade $50m of salary to another team to recoup assets and we will take on the returning salary

Would have been done yesterday if Rockets offer that.

I bet Rockets are only offering Pick 10 right now and angling to add another pick as negotiations pick up... but Suns need 3 picks to budge. I think Pick 10, Suns 2027, Suns 2029.... and salary filler, and Jabari Smith.

That's too good to happen IMO.

Those picks + meh players would be realistic, but we are talking about receiving 3 players under 23 years old with untapped potential too.

There are not "salary filler" in thr Rockets. Every player has his own solid value including FVV and Dillon.
