Another Try, Dal-Chi-OKC

Post#1 » by pipfan » Sat Jun 14, 2025 6:08 am

I think Dallas need a scorer at guard, and some shooting
OKC could really use a guy like PJ Washington, he'd be a perfect bench piece who can start when Chet sits
Chi steps back a bit and adds young talent

Coby to Dallas
PJ Washington to OKC
Dieng/#15 pick to Chi

Done once the #15 contract is eligible to be dealt

White can be a foundation piece with Lively/Flagg moving forward. If Irving comes back for the playoffs KI/White/Flagg/AD/Lively is a great lineup

OKC goes with
SGA/Wallace
Dort/Caruso
JWill/Wiggins
Chet/PJ
IHart/JW
still has IJoe, Topic, KWill, #24 (should draft best center possible)/Jones as the deep bench
They enter the season as the heavy favorite and go for 70+

Bulls draft Newell (#12), Sorber or Coward (#15) and let this year play out
Ball/Ayo/JCarter
Giddey/Huerter/Terry
Matas/PWill/Phillips
Newell/Dieng
Collins/Sorber/JSmith
Not sure what happens with Vuc-I would trade him to Char for Nurkic/#33. Bulls go into the 2026 offseason with Giddey, Matas, PWill, Phillips, Newell, Dieng, JSmith, Sorber (or Coward)

Yeah. It’s good. Think it’s fair to ask Dallas to send 1-? Seconds to Chicago. But not sure if I’m minority there.

I am not particularly high on White. How about Lonzo Ball for Caleb Martin and a second? Will Chicago pulls the trigger?

No way on this. I know Dallas wants Ball, but we need him.

Maybe Ball and the Port pick to Dallas
PJ to OKC
Dieng/#24 to Chicago?

But I've offered the Port pick for Dieng/#24 and it seemed well received

Not interested in PJ for Ball and a marginal first. Value seems a bit light but also Ball is not available enough and that pick won't return much.

Just resign Exum and keep PJ seems like better asset management.

But do you concern about White can't play alongside Kyrie due to size and defense ? Injuries happen in game. Brandon Williams can play. Exum agrees to return. Ball brings much needed alternatives ball handler and small guard defender. to stick with the likes of Ja Morant. White can shoot but can White actually play against OKC, SAS or DEN? I'd take Ball and a pick for sure.

The Mavs strongest small guard defender is Christie who is limited as a playmaker and streaky as a shooter. He also does not response well in pick- and -roll. This is a legitimate concern.

Maybe the Bulls add Ayo to Dallas as well? I like him a lot (Coby too) but I want us to reset the team.

Bulls send Ayo/White to Dallas
Bulls get Dieng, Prosper, #15

Dallas sends PJ to OKC and Prosper to Chi
Dallas gets CWhite/Ayo from Bulls

OKC sends #15/Dieng to Chi
OKC gets PJ

Done once the #15 contract counts (could also add one of the vet bench guys to BRK but it gets more complicated)

Bulls now go with
Ball/Coward (#15)/JCarter
Giddey/Huerter/Terry
Matas/PWill/Phillips
Newell (#12)/Dieng
Collins/JSmith

Still do Vuc for Nurkic/#33

Bulls run the year out around Giddy and have A TON of 2026 cap space (about $90 million, I think-more if they could dump PWill) and start over
