OKC the better team.

Pacers were riding a high that's starting to wear off.

Looking like the 2022 Finals.

Down 1-2, OKC will close this out in 6, just like GSW closed the Celtics out in 6.

What an awful fourth quarter by the pacers.

Pacers missed their opportunities. I don’t know if OKC is that much better but the pacers missed their shots in the fourth quarter. Some huge second chances by OKC.

Called it, what a shame. OKC showed incredible poise in this game. They looked gassed, but somehow found another gear and closed out the Pacers. SGA showed why he was the MVP with those two clutch buckets to take the lead.

I'm not really sure what happened to the Pacers in the 4th. Did the Thunder defense finally manage to slow them down, or did they just miss their shots?

Pacers are like the Heat of 2023.

The combination of luck and good fortune is wearing off now.

OKC's the real deal.

Could never get behind this Pacers bandwagon, which is saying something because I’m a perennial underdog guy.

Pacers obviously have a higher gear than most similar teams but they’ve been a fifty win team at best two years in a row if they are the best the league’s got idk what else to say

Pacers are not dead yet. But with that said, they legit blew a HUGE opportunity. But I also feel after looking at replays, that OKC did indeed benefit from some huge Calls down the stretch. A slight touch foul committed by Nesmith on SGA (flop) which was followed up by a push off of SGA on Nesmith, which was not called, then SGA proceeded to take 3 steps back and no walk called. Nesmith also had two charges taken only to get called fouls on him.

Now what Mathurin did was indeed a choke.

But the Joe fans should notice that OKC actually won the game while only making 3? 3 pointers. Not one dimension for OKC. I wonder what having another dimension feels like.
2 things need to go.. my lack of spell check and Joe..

Nesmith put his hand on the shoulder of SGA.

Touch foul, yes, but still a foul.

You are not allowed to put your hand/s on the offensive player's shoulder when he's about to shoot.

Some of the fouls OKC are getting are from using their brain.

I'm not a fan of OKC, but they really play smart basketball.

Nobody was talking about OKC in June, 2024 when the Cs were averaging 40 3-pointers per game and raising Banner 18.

Pacers #1 in FG% and 3pt FG% in this year's playoffs.

Kinda like the 2023 Miami Heat.

But when the hot shooting wears off, it's back to why they were not the #1 or #2 seed.

Right now Carlisle is the flavor of the month.

Just like Spoelstra was the flavor of the month in 2023.

98% of our fan base would trade joe for Rick Carlisle and the flavor of the month.
As well as the other flavor of the month in 2023

Except for 2 posters..

That was a foul, but some of it wasn’t, especially a playoff foul. More challenges and OKC may have lost on replays. They missed a call where dude almost had his head detached, talking about OB. What?! You missed that, but okc gets grazed and it’s seen?

Good thing the NBA did come up with challenges. I remember a time when someone could rearrange Rondo’s face and then go on to win a championship off that missed call. Nothing was called so couldn’t be challenged IIRC, but still, NBA refs are suspect! What they allowed Orlando to do to us was outrageous!

So much this. It just happens too many times with whatever the league needs. The rest will call or not call in league's favor.. And the thing is everything I say can be debated. But there is video proof to so much bs. Especially with what Orlando did to Boston and last night against the Pacers.

Pacers lost, could have done better at other times. It is what it is. I still believe the NBA will try and fix things to whatever they think is best for them at the time. I can’t even imagine what would go down in game 5 if the Pacers were up 3-1.

Pacers were not going to win 4-1, I don’t care what had to happen out there. Not saying okc wouldn’t win game 5 without “help” but going down 3-1 would have guaranteed they got it! B2B finals of 4-1 victories would have been bad enough, especially with it being the pacers who were bad all season, but then it would be against the NBA’s MVP?? With the ratings already being “bad.” No chance.

4th best net rating post all star break last season. Cruised at like a 58-60 win pace once they got Nembhard and Nesmith back from injury this season. Plus what they've done in their two playoff runs. Pretty clearly a top 4 team since the Siakam trade.

Sure but how good are they since they moved Gafford and Washington into the starting lineup?

That’s what I mean, in the argument for fourth best team isn’t saying much especially considering Boston’s elite performance last year and then a couple of really high end regular seasons from OKC and Cleveland.

That said I’d take them over last year’s Dallas team. Those guys slobbered themselves so hard over a hot few months they thought they had a title shot. Okc being super young in some key spots is looking like a pretty glaring issue though.
