I think people will be surprised by how little of a return Durant garners. He'll be 37 by the time the season starts, and hasn't proven he can be a winner outside of Golden State, which was already a proven winner without him. As a Wolves fan, I don't want him at all, but if they were to trade for him, I would be annoyed if they gave up more than the equivalent of what Miami offered.

I agree. I also think that a Vassell, Barnes and 14 blows this out of the water. Yet when we offered 14 Suns are looking around for a better deal. That can't possibly be it. Heat have a late 1st. Just boggles the mind that's some sort of quality package.

I just don’t think the spurs are giving up Vassell until they know Durant is off the table, but I could be wrong.

I'm not sure but there's also a strong part of me that thinks who cares? He's never won a championship outside of a superstar stacked team and i don't think he's going to lead a team to a ring.

The only places he'd win would be if he joined OKC or maybe Denver/Boston (teams that can carry him).

If Wolves get him they must trade for Morant. The Morant, Durant, Ant thing will need to happen.

He already lead Golden State to two championships and he won both Finals MVP's. View it as you please!

Agree we can debate Durants past accomplishments but regardless anyone who would gut their team for a 37 year old it just doesn't make any sense.

Have a feeling the Suns are trying to send him to the Raptors as a "**** you", but Durant has the power to agree on where he goes.

Jaden McDaniels is probably who Phoenix will want, right? I assume the Wolves will want to keep him.

Wolves fans, what do you think fair value is?

What does that mean? Add Vassell to the package if Suns don't like the original offer?

No he doesn't lol KD has zero say on where he goes. He doesn't have a NTC.

Suns can listen to where he wants to go but do not have to honor it. They can send him to the Hornets, if they want.

Certainly true. But KD, despite what any of us think of him, is a very well respected NBA legend and I feel like the Suns will try as much as they reasonably can to accommodate him. Feels bad for their brand to do otherwise to a player of KD's stature

Their brand already sucks, they have fired 3 coaches in a row, every summer.

KD is known for being a snake who jumps ship, this is no different. Send him to the highest bidder and call it a day.

I disagree.
It's odd how some of you view KD. Care to elaborate on why you feel the way you do?

Honestly I hope he goes to the clippers, they could use the drama and diva persona he will bring to a new big three in Clipperville plus they have that shiny new arena they need to sell tickets for. I'm sure the suns would love to add Norman Powell and some other ancillary pieces around D. Book

I'm surprised that Toronto is considered a team that's interested in Durant. What would they give up for him? Who would they trade to match salary?

Yeah, i can.

OKC lost the WCF after being up 3-1 on the 73-9 Warriors. He joins those very Warriors a couple months later, pretty spineless. Bunch of talk about him not being happy with Westbrook in OKC.

Wins 2 titles in a row with the Warriors, him an Draymond get in a sideline spat in November. KD feels sighted bc Dray never apologies. He's seen flirting with Kyrie during All Star weekend. Warriors make a 3rd straight Final where KD tears his Achilles. He hates Draymond so he opts out of his contract and bounces.

Teams up with Kyrie on the Nets while he rehabs. They force out a great coach in Kenny Atkinson, because 'they don't need a head coach'. Make the team sign garbage DeAndre Jordan to a contract he's not worth. Get buyout vets in Blake Griffin and LaMarcus Aldridge that would not even be possible in the current CBA. Force the front office to trade for his buddy Harden. Kyrie has the whole vaccine hold out fiasco. Harden requests out, i guess bc Kyrie. They get Ben Simmons who prefers videogames over basketball. KD requests a trade that he later rescinded. Kyrie gets traded for peanuts bc of the vaccine stuff and his contract situation. Instead of sticking with the Nets, the team he hand picked, KD asks to be traded to the Suns to play with Booker.

Suns for some dumb reason trade for Beal after that. May 13th 2023 Monty is fired, May 9th 2024 Vogel is fired, and April 14th 2025 Bud is fired. Now KD is ready to leave for greener pastures, yet again, despite hand picking the Suns.
