We only like players who split their free throws, not go 0-2.

Siakam started that trend

Mathurin will have a valued role on a playoff team once his next big-ish contract is over and he starts his late career Rodney Hood/Austin Rivers phase.

Jumping from team to team on 1-2 year below MLE contracts and sees the floor only when the team is stuck in the mud and they need a guy who can't follow the structured offense in the regular season and ends up short-circuiting the opposing team's playoff defense.

That's great cap value for a sometimes needed skillset during the playoffs. Look forward to seeing it when he's 31yo or whatever.

Huge opportunity lost.

They were rolling in the third but only ended it up 7 I think. Played too loose, didn't put it away then. And OKC showed grit and better scrambling D in the last few minutes.

I'm not so sure the return to 2 bigs made the difference, I think they need to play Caruso over Cason's minutes

Yeah, OKC kept pace pretty well for 3, then Indy crapped themselves in the fourth quarter in that one while OKC went bonkers. 5/18 shooting, smoked o the offensive glass, ouch.

Gotta acknowledge how beautiful this basketball has been. Such a great matchup. Indiana has fully won me over. It's beautiful basketball and not at the expense of great defense.

Let us all be thankful we don't have to watch the Celtics right now.

Some of this is unforced sloppiness right now. Siakam just losing a couple balls dribbling.

But the trends are trending clearer. OKC getting their dunks and layups and just needing to hit their open 3s.

Pacers gotta hit those 3s and find some transition offense. Tougher sledding.

Pacers don’t have the same defensive intensity. They can do it for only so long I guess while OKC is just consistent with theirs.

Haliburton is extremely clutch and talented but he is absolutely not a superstar. He dissappears far too much

OKC role players hitting threes for the first time, Wiggins, Joe, Wallace, Williams. That'll be hard to beat if they continue

His dribble gets cut off at the permiter almost everytime. Also, I'm noticing having Nembhard and Nesmith is very limiting in terms of offense creation and of course the OKC defense is really good.

Very shades of game 1 of the series, but both teams have exhausted the adjustments and playbooks now.

The paint is more open than ever for OKC.

But again, could have been a lot worse for Indy here. That's the good news. And SGA played extra minutes compared to the pacing he had last game. Could matter if this isn't a blowout during winning time.

I don’t think Pacers have the juice this game but we’ll see. OKC is allowed to play more physical defense now so it will be hard for the Pacers to get going unless they get hot from 3.

Pacers still within striking distance and SGA has 3 fouls which could become a concern.

Siakam will probably need to go for 30 with Haliburton struggling though

I just can't take the Pacers as a good defense seriously. They are a "Pat trick y'all" pressure D.

Jdub going for like 10 layups/dunks in a game is not acceptable playoff D. And it's always there for him if he just slowed down each game.
