He agrees with Shams on Wolves and Houston but for what he has heard the Heat's offer is not close. He said something like that, don't take my words literal.
He said that he has a good feeling about getting a good package for KD.
What his idea of a good package and mine/other people’s are vastly didn’t things.
Let’s remind people Gambo said the Suns had a great offseason in 2023 when they signed Vogel and all the trash players he tried to convince everyone were fantastic players to put around KD and Booker. How’d that work out fo Gambo and his propaganda?
thank y ou !!
The last two summers both Gambo and Flex were talking how the front office is playing 3D chess and veterans wanted to play with KD and Booker and not one of them were worth a damn.
I think the only good player moves were Dunn and Oso but that is grading on a curve as the vet free agents were all bad.

All the media and fans thought that about our 2023 offseason. We were considered one of the favorites to win it all by all the critics.
It didn't work. Move on.

I’m thinking Sparta is planning on drafting a PG … and thus a good pick is necessary
Have to find one somewhere

Shams:
Just In: Houston Rockets center Steven Adams has agreed to a three-year, $39 million contract extension to stay with the franchise, sources tell ESPN. After playing a key rotation and leadership role in the Rockets' playoff run, the new deal keeps a top center out of free agency.

Poeltl and Barrett of course

One thing about the Twolves - I read that they cannot make a trade as they are a second apron team until post July 1
Short of certain circumstances (pending FAs, partial guarantees, etc.), this isnt generally a big issue. Teams agree in principle to things between seasons that are executed after the July moratorium pretty frequently. One of the more recent, extreme examples would be the Bridges-to-Knicks trade last year. It was reported as an agreed upon trade on June 25 (before draft) but was not formally executed until July 6, to take care of salary matching and sign-and-trade components.
Need to refrain from physically signing any 2025 draft picks involved, if Im not mistaken, but I dont think its as big a hurdle as some make it out to be.

Does this move lessen the chances of them getting Durant with more money on their books now?

I would guess it means they're confident in getting a deal done with VanVleet to decline his Team Option and sign a longer term deal at a lower salary. That would help them stay far enough below the second apron to maintain the ability to aggregate salaries in a trade, keeping the KD idea on the table IMO.
OR they let go of Landale and/or Holiday contracts (unguaranteed, team option) before the end of the month to compensate for the added salary that way.

No clue how Minnesota is the favorite. I am trying a bunch of trade scenarios with them for KD in ESPN trade machine and most of the trades are failing.

There are likely multiple teams (Grizzlies/Raptors) involved in the Wolves trade.

Yeah it would have to be multiple teams.

Interesting. Royce or Grayson on the way out in a KD trade.
We are definitely dipping below the second tax apron.
