POR is not taking a lesser package than we gave up for him when he exceeded expectations.

Start by looking at what we traded for him and assume we want more. The most likely path would be something that gives a swing at a legit star, so highly coveted 1sts, not highly protected 1sts.

what about
2 1sts (top-3 protected)
GG Jackson
Clarke

I would add Deni to 11 (and maybe more) for #2.

Good luck. You can even add him for #1. Same result.

No, because I don’t think Memphis will be bad enough for those picks to be great picks. It doesn’t feel close.

Curious what would be the right price. 4 1sts?

Something with high end potential.

#2 as mentioned before, a good lotto pick.

Picks from team that will finish top 4 in the conference not going to get it done.

Bane, but you won’t want to do that. You would want to offer a volume package less than what we paid.

Ya this isnt close. Likely not even as good as the package we paid. Clarke brings nothing to a rebuilding team (And we have a ton of overpaid vets already at PF / C in Ayton, RWIII, Grant). GG some like, I dont. See a empty stat chucker. Those picks wont be good when their team is fielding Ja / Bane / Deni / JJJ / Edey + a strong bench.

Just nowhere near interesting to me.

This is just a bunch of meh for one of the best two-way role playing forwards in the league. Easy pass for Portland.

If Bane is available for Avdija, how would you balance the value gap?

Offer Clarke/GG/3
26/28/30 1st for Deni. 26/30 pick both have secondary swap options.

GG if allowed to play with no expectations can give you some pretty tantalizing numbers.
Clarke is a salary filler and can be replaced if needed using the BI annual exception.

Problem with Deni in Portland is he is the best player, similar to Wizards who fans also thought he wouldn’t get traded is if Deni is your best player. Playin is your ceiling.

Pass. Not interested in late picks.

I might go for that. I really like Bane.

I am probably in the minority with that opinion, and would try to move up to nab Harper first.
