Wow! This response was amazing. Reminds of the scene in Chronicles of Narnia The Lion The Witch and The Wardrobe when Leonidis looks over at Lolita Davidovich and says "it's Predator time!" Literally had me reaching for my epipen...Kinda like now! My family tree just blinked!!!!

Don’t get confused or overthink it. This is a TWO-WAY STAR BIG WING…

There's no doubt that Ace would improve our defense. That 7 foot wingy and proven shotblocking ability is super exciting to add to our roster.

It's because blue chip recruits are anointed their 5 star status during their skill-less AAU sessions, they go to college and do enough to keep their image alluring to teams, then they get drafted.

Guys who have clawed their way to the league from relative obscurity in Europe or 3 year college players find ways to be relevant and outplay their draft position, sometimes substantially. But it certainly is harder.

not sure where I heard it from and it is probably bull

but there is hubbub that Ace's camp doesn't want to come here. Perhaps they want him in an immediate featured role which even if Jo is donzo wont be here....or they have seen the horror show that most of our lottery picks go through lol.

Maxey (1.8 steals per game; 9th league)
Edgecombe (3.8 stl%; elite)
Paul George (3.9 deflections; 6th league)
Kelly Oubre (4.2 deflections; 3rd league)

If only Drummond and Embiid could turn back the clock.

I heard Ace has started pre-emptive full body stem cell therapy and researching obscure ailment recovery methods.

I hope Morey is aware of Ace's peanut allergy. All jokes aside if there is any even slight semblance of a hint that he doesn't want to be here, then let him go elsewhere. The player wanting and willing to play for the team drafting him is kind of important

How hard can it be? You got a big playing drop when you run a 2 man game and all you have to do is to take a lightly contested middy or pivot your way with upfakes into a decent shot or use your explosiveness to finish at the rim. Sure, non-guards can do it too, but guards have a natural quickness advantage. And if you don’t play drop, those explosive guards can just blow right by you.

well, call me crazy, but i'm pretty happy with where we are at. I think Ace/VJ/Tre all have the chance to make it big on the next level. So i can be happy taking our choice of the three at #3, or i think i'd be okay with picking some assets up and taking the last of them at 5 in a utah deal. I don't know that i'm too happy to go past that #5 pick tho with out some pretty crazy incentive.

I think if he didn't want to be in Philly he wouldn't work out for them.... It's not mandatory

I also know that he or any player in this draft would need to fall to 5 or 6 to be truly featured as the top 3 teams for sure are very talented already.... Charlotte kind of is too

When was the last time that Sixers even drafted a wing? And with a high pick as well. Feels like we have only been drafting point guards and centers.

I know this is supposed to be a highlight vid but there's a few plays in there I didn't like.

The first one in particular. Kon is on the opposite side, back his man down spins to his left and has a wide open lane to the net. Instead of him taking it strong to the rim he stops, does a double pump and then goes up for the layin. WHY?? You already beat you man, no one is at the rim. Take that **** up STRONG.

There's a few plays like that scattered throughout the vid that shouldn't be "highlights" it shows his lack of athletic ability

Where is this rumor coming from? I haven't read or seen anything about Ace not wanting to come to Philly.

In fact, the only rumor I read related to him was that he was scheduled to workout for Philly.

Return to Philadelphia 76ers
