Four unprotected FRPs????

OMG.

The Magic gave up 4 unprotected FRPs for Desmond Bane

What are they thinking?

Also does this mean the price for Durant is now higher?

and Cole Anthony!!

Market has been set for KD. We better not get a measly mid first rounder now as our top price when a player who's never made the all-star team nets four unprotected firsts.

Maybe Memphis gets involved with all this ammo now (including our pick next year)

FCK! There goes my trade with Orlando for Cole for one of our bench wings. 4 unprotected FRP is crazy too! I would have done this trade in a heartbeat.
Question is: Memphis tearing it down?

They might not want to pay JJJ to a big extention now and blow things up - if the Bane deal is any indication.

Maybe a three way deal is possible with the SAS package going to Memphis and the Suns getting JJJ with Ishbia promising him a big pay day.

There are clearly three choices for KD.
1. Miami
2. Houston
3. San Antonio.

Of course, someone can surprise us, but we better not trade with Minnesota unless Jaden McDaniel's is included.

Ayton was the Suns best big man since Amare and he was useful both ends and could play against small ball... weakness was effort but he was effective even with 80% energy. The Monty fiasco and then KD trade drove Ayton out fast.... and so did the Suns championship aspirations as the team went for a bad culture and shortcuts that didn't pay off... no future.
Come on, man. Ayton was a problem from the start and his weaknesses were glaring. Williams inherited Ayton and his lack of desire, focus, and drive. If we're pointing fingers for blame, this begins and ends with Ayton.

If Memphis is resetting, Ishbia will do everything in his power to acquire JJJ. Mediocre player who went to MSU? Fits the mold of players Ott has developed in Cleveland? Sucks at rebounding and only shoots threes instead of using his size while fouling out in the third quarter? Sounds like a suns player to me

Maybe a three team deal

I can see Ishbia trying to get JJJ

Spurs are not a team like Magic so I don't expect them to offer more than a first rounder for KD... but Magic obviously not frugal like Spurs. Hopefully Rockets are, however similar to Magic.

In any case, WW3 could happen in the near future so YOLO trades aren't out of the question.

Jaren Jackson Jr is a terrific two-way All Star in his prime, I would love to have him but his value has to be really high.

You can say "mediocre" talking about Miles Bridges (higher end) or Gary Harris (lower end) but JJJ is as good as Evan Mobley.

Curious what criteria the Suns use when considering what they view as the 'best' offer. How much do they value quantity of assets vs the best single quality piece coming back? How much do they focus on upside vs proven young talent?

Personally I want the package that brings back the best under 30 players available. At least somewhat proven dudes who can both help now and be key guys moving forward.

I value future picks less although getting back their own from Houston changes that equation.

Memphis just became a spot you could reroute a SG like Vassell if they were part of a KD deal.

Flex said keep your eye on the Grizzlies. KD heading to Memphis?

Suns did say they wouldn't be against sending him to a non-preferred destination.
