Depends on the Phoenix pick. Orlando is banking on them being in the playoffs for the next five years. Lower 20's picks for a guy whose shooting and secondary playmaking was obviously missing on Orlando's offense.

Bane fits great with Orlando but that price is insane. Seems a bit too rich unless Orlando thinks this puts them at the top of the east. That’s not impossible but they’ll need more than just Bane. Internal growth would be needed.

Every year around this time I’m reminded how much this place fetishizes draft picks. Magic now have Paolo/Franz/Suggs/Bane, all 26 or younger, in an Eastern Conference that is going to be a huge question mark the next few years. It’s more likely than not that the players drafted with those picks are ever as good as Bane as now (Top 50 in the league).

Also like it for the Grizzlies, who have more ammo to rethink the team around Morant and JJJ.

I guess Magic figure with Franz and Paolo they are atleast first round playoff team for almost the next decade so no lottery picks? They're also going to have three guys making $35 million plus next year. Paolo still on his rookie deal.

basketball wise its a good fit in orlando. im just really iffy on moving so many unprotected picks that far down the line for guys that cant carry you for long stretches of time.

how many teams are good for 5+ years. these type of deals almost always end up with one or two of those picks in the lotto.
