Personally, if Miami acquires Durant, I'd like to see Herro moved for DeRozan and another player (Keegan Murray would be a solid replacement for Jovic if he is moved), mainly because it avoids Miami having to commit silly money to Herro in an extension.

Why not? We'd actually have amazing size for a change...I like it. We were already playing Bam and Ware together some, Ware will be another year older so hopefully a bit better and stronger. And you add KDs elite shooting and scoring to that, what doesn't make sense? But knowing Spo Ware would probably come off the bench or barely play with Bam anyways... :banghead:

Who's guarding the wings on other teams like Tatum, Jalen Williams, Kawhi, etc? Granted I haven't seen much of Suns last couple of years. Is KD still a decent defender at SF or would Bam have to guard them?

Bane is a 2-way player, Herro is not. That doesn't change this is a massive overpay, but Bane fits with Orlando's offense as he is not ball-dominant and he's a tough defender.

Hey if you think you can get a guy that can take you over the top sometimes you gotta pay the price, this FO hasn’t learned that yet. Suggs/Bane backcourt is insane from a 3 and D perspective.

Sure. And if they believe Banchero/Wagner can be 1-2 on a contender, Bane is a great 3rd wheel.

Bane is good, but he's more on the Mikal Bridges level. I guess nothing was learned from overpaying for Bridges or role players like Gobert. Wild.

I should keep in mind Orlando is not exactly a FA destination. So...hey.

I rate Bane higher than Mikal pretty easily but like both. I agree with your sentiment though overall.

Depends on the parameters of a trade, but if Wiggins is not moved, it'd be Wiggins, KD, and Highsmith.

Bam will take them out of the game.

Now on the other end how do they match up with us? They putting a small guy on KD?

Four first for Desmond Bane?

I guess Magic figure with Franz and Paolo they are atleast first round playoff team for almost the next decade so no lottery picks? They're also going to have three guys making $35 million plus next year. Paolo still on his rookie deal.

Franz $38.6 mil
Suggs $35 mil
Bane $36.7 mil
Paolo only at $15 mil

If we somehow end up with Durant and serious about competing Tyler needs to go. Just IMO

After what KD has been through with Brooklyn and Phoenix I think the presence of Spo is another major aspect he's looking at. He hasn't had stability at the head coach positions in years. I'm sure that's on his mind as well.

Everyone thinks you can just snap your fingers and trade Tyler. Bane is clearly valued much higher as a 2 way player. Tyler is here to stay for the foreseeable future

I’m checking in on Ja, Trae, and Garland for sure. With KD on the roster probably check in on Harden too and maybe someone random who pops up. Minor rumblings of a Fox trade now that the Spurs will have Harper/Castle but I doubt that. Doesn’t hurt to ask, we need a high level playmaker to set the table for our guys.

I’d be happy getting half of what Memphis got for Bane just for the fact that it’d let us get that all star level PG with our leftover assets from the KD deal
