Why didn’t Orlando just trade for KD then ?
#1 Maybe they want a more long term window #2 maybe KD has a say where he goes....

Any lineup that still has Kat at center is the wrong lineup. How much more evidence is needed.

If Mitch becomes starting C as the first guy says, I think we'd need a backup big C. Precious can play small ball C and PF but can't be the main backup. Not sure if Huk will be ready but if he is then it solves problems

It doesnt have to but it might....the concept of what a trade without him is still evident...just remove DDV and have a third team take a smaller salary while giving them minor 2nd round draft comp to counterbalance CBA rules.

In this scenario....The assumption is you are replacong him with JJJ and then Huk gets more minutes too
but why? Mikal matches JJJs contract 1 for 1 ....Mitch can come off the bench.
It could be just mainly for Bridges. But just like the KAT/Randle negotiations...sometimes the other team wants more or a certain player added. So just presenting a few ranges of what it could be....

Not that I disagree with you, but KD leaving and no Mikal resign (assuming the KD trade is got KAT), they'd be well under the 1st apron.
KD doesn't want the pressure. The Knicks aren't letting Mikal walk either. You don't trade 5 FRPs for a rental or future cap space. This scenario will never happen.
For a guy like JJJ or Giannis I think that would not apply. They absolutely would let Mikal be the bridge for a player like that.
