The 16th pick could have got them Danny Wolf . I have to imagine/hope whoever it is they targeted with a 16th pick they have to believe will now be there with the 25th. WALTER CLAYTON JR.

Bane has been one of my dream players for this team for years. It’s kinda surreal that this actually happened. I’ll reserve final judgement until the offseason wraps up, but as of now I’m pleasantly surprised. Just need to see how the roster construction plays out.

Bane was my #1 target heading into this offseason. He fits so exceptionally well with Franz and Paolo. The fact they got him and in a rather unexpected manner as there was no clear indication he was available and still kept Black and TDS is awesome.

In 3 seasons and Orlando still doesn’t have a point guard on the roster.

He still doesn’t get that the offense is bad because of ball movement.

He “doesn’t get it” because the offense isn’t bad due to ball movement — it’s bad because we can’t shoot.

This, on top of that Banes is going to be the 3rd Ball Handler. Anyone who was coming on this team not named LaMelo Ball or Trae Young aren't great passers too.

If you wanted guys like Reeves, Simons, and White their playmaking is very similar or close to Banes. I don't think you missed much getting those guys instead. Banes is just provides that defense those guys don't have.

Hate losing that PHX/WAS swap in 26, but he's definitely an upgrade.

The 4-FRPs per se is not an over pay. Orlando traded five bench0level assets for Bane; and the Phoenix pick.
If that pick is high lotto, then it's an overpay. If it is low lottery, then the Magic traded six bench players for one near all-star starter.

So: wll the Magic be thin on all those bench players? No. There is a lot of talent in the LLE range this year for the FA market.

This. For me it boils down to where that Phoenix pick winds up. It could wind up being a huge pick.

But Bane is an insanely good pickup and will fit in really nicely with this team. Yea I'm a little surprised not to be going after a traditional PG to pair next to Suggs, but honestly there aren't that many available, and we already have guys in Franz, Paolo, and Jalen who can bring it up and setup the offense anyway. Jalen is going to be the PG, no doubt about it.

Magic could get either one of the Jones brothers, Tre Jones from the Bulls or Tyus as a free agent, as a veteran backup PG if that's the direction they want to go.

Collecting my thoughts here lol

1. Fantastic trade... This is the all in move that you make to make you an Elite team whilst not compromising the identity of your team and not giving much up much when it comes to player personnel.

This team literally gave up little to NOTHING to get this guy. On top of that still having tradable assets like a Goga, Issac, Carter Jr., Black, Suggs, and even Banes in their pack pocket for smaller moves or to get some future draft picks/prospects and to avoid cap hell.

Them trading these draft pick are inconsequential in the grand scheme of things when it comes to them having assets already on their team to swap for other assets when the time comes.

2. They did right by KCP/Anthony... The front office traded them to a team that's a good team that's not garbage. I'm happy they did that.

3. I think there are likely 2 maybe 3 more moves that will be made in the off season for the bench. Obviously I'm assuming most likely a draft day trade will happen will happen involving Jonathan Issac/Goga/Black/Harris to move up to get either a PG or C (or both) of their liking.

I'm really liking what they're doing right now. And clearly they're not done wheeling and dealing. Let's get it...

Memphis did Orlando a favor to take Calwell-Pope and Anthony off of the books. Three of the FRPs have low value. So: let's say the Phoeix pick is 7th in the 2027 draft; is that worth trading for Bane? YES: a thousand times yes.

Worst case scenario OKC has the 24th pick , we have the 25th pick and the Nets have the 26th and 27th pick. Nets package 26 and 27 to OKC for the 24th and sabotage to Water Clayton Jr dream.

Then this is a total disaster.

Man oh man we are getting clowned on from every fan base. The t-wolf fans are popping champagne because someone did something worse than the Gobert trade and they are popping off on the GB. This makes the Ibaka trade look like tactical genius.

No one in their right minds is selling first round picks in the apron area, so get that copium right out. We are now stuck. We went all in for a non all star 3 point specialist. I give it 1 year until they fire Mose (if they don't after this trade) and two years before weltpark is fired and 2.5 before we trade Franz, Suggs, and maybe Paolo and start another rebuild because we set our ceiling too low a la AG, Vuc, and Evan.

Maybe I am just panicking though.

No.

The Magic traded their entire first round pick in 2026. The Grizzlies can now own that pick and can potentially with the Suns.

Alright so now that we got Bane do we trade Suggs for a true PG or do we make some minor moves on the edges?

the fact that we got Bane and not a PG says to me that no good PG is available

Bane is basically a PG. He had two 14 assists games last season.

Not only is this a horrible trade but if Orlando get a starting point guard we are going to have either Suggs or Bane’s making $30million+ coming off the bench.

At this point the Magic need a decent floor general thats all.
