Jah trade to NOP w/ POR

Post#1 » by nolaPELSfan » Sun Jun 15, 2025 5:59 pm

NOP: Jah Morant, Brandon Clarke

POR: Trey Murphy, CJ McCollum, #7, '26 Pacers 1st

MEM: Scoot, Sharpe, Ayton, Karlo Matkovic, Jose Alavarado, Jordan Hawkins, #11, '27 '29 & '30 NOP 1sts

Porland does it to have their frontcourt of the future and move up some in the lotto. Nola does it to pair Jah & Zion, and Memphis does it to get a package of youth an 4 1sts, getting into the lotto this draft.

If Murphy is worth as much as I think then this is likely a big overpayment right now for Ja. 5 1sts and Murphy?

But to play along we would just cut out Portland and keep all the picks and spin off Murphy for more picks and trade JJJ and tank away.

Pass for POR. Too much for Trey.

I was hoping and expecting this to be one of the first replies. You did not disappoint. Jroy have it all.

We would trade for JJJ too if we could, but idk if we'd have enough ammo?

You would pay all your assets to become a worth version of Memphis?

If we could get a real big 3 i'd start over from there. Probably in the minority.

I agree with JRoy. Too much for Fields and #7. That Pacers pick will likely be #26 to #30 so that's not very exciting. I doubt CJ would be here long. I don't think this trade is too far off though, but it's just not right.

Murphy is not the right target for Portland.

This is so unrealistic that I'm sure it violates some kind of rule on this board.

So Pels give everything they have to become worse version of Grizzlies? No thanks.
To make myself clear, value is not bad, but that move ia too risky since Ja is Ja and JJJ can leave after one year...

As has been said, I don’t really get the inclusion of Portland. Pels have plenty to give for Ja, if Memphis ever actually wanted to trade him. Which I don’t think they do.
