Giving up a bevy of FRPs seems to be the norm in this day's NBA. The Knicks gave up a ton of them for Bridges, and MIN gave up quite a few for Rudy Gobert.

I'm surprised we could only get ONE for Jimmy Butler!!!

Age and contract matter. This is why we are in the door for Durant

Idk, OKC loves Cason and he’s a cost controlled asset. I do wonder if they’d let Caruso go to shed some money though and increase Casons role to account for him being gone. He’d be an amazing fit

Remember the Thunder has Nikola Topic that they will be looking to work into the rotation this season. They have a full roster and they have two 1st round picks. They likely need to make a move. Either push these picks down the line or move a player before a big payday comes so they can alocate to the big payday to players they want to pay.

99% chance the league was behind Luka trade to LA. The other 1% is the case that Nico Harrison is actually ret@rded

Honestly shows how FRPs are a becoming a bit of a deflated asset in value. The players involved and salary machinations play a huge role in these trades

Honestly a great fit for Orlando and while they overpaid part of the draft compensation was to get off of KCPs bad contract

Ok I ran the numbers and I believe it’s damn near impossible for the grizzlies to trade for KD after this even if they used JJJ (which I’d assume they don’t want to but he’s about to get the supermax lmao) considering the can’t use KCP and Anthony’s salary with other players included in a trade. At least that’s my understanding of recently traded players. KD and Ja have a relationship so it had me a little worried

I was thinking the same thing, the Grizz trading for KD would make a lot of sense since they were after Jimmy. No idea if they can make the numbers and players work either.

Lmao fr.
Id love Westbrook during regular season but man in the playoffs... would be tough to watch.

Just need to sit him during crunch moments. We could do way worse than a HOF'er on the minimum at a position of need. And hes supposedly an awesome locker room guy.

Lowkey he was huge for the Nuggets down the stretch in the clippers series lol. He was huge for the Thunder in the Thunder series though

I thought this was going to be one of those BS posts, but it's actually true. Not sure when they started following though. I also checked, Spurs and Rockets are NOT following Durant at the moment. Can't believe I took 3 minutes out of my day to look this up

Because these are moves of desperation. None of those guys have been worth the picks they got. The front offices need some to change or their heads will roll, and just throw all their pick away from their tanking days. Hell, the Gobert trade isnt even the worse of them all now at this point.
