This still seems to have Green as a negative, which GSW is not going to agree with.

That team is all in for the next two years, even if they end up in the play in both times. They are riding it out until the end of Curry and Green's (and Jimmy's) contracts. I don't know if they want to be on the hook for anything after the next two years. I see a hard reset for them in 27-28.

Very curious as to what Maxey is worth now after that Bane trade.

In your opinion, who has more trade value to Golden State right now - Joel Embiid or Draymond Green?

You have to wonder if Jaren Jackson Jr. is secretly available, or if Memphis is really just looking to add a 3rd star to him + Ja.

Bane trade emerging from thin air aside, them acquiring that ‘26 PHX pick is intriguing.

Have to think they're about to send a godfather offer for Kevin Durant.

If they don’t mind trade JJ Jr, they may be able to land both Durant and Giannis (If those guys wants to play in Memphis).

Draymond. He's been there, part of the culture, tight with Steph. And most importantly he plays games.

A team that trades for Embiid would have to be one desperate to take a shot. At a price that even if Embiid doesn't play, which is most likely the case, it won't kill them.

I'm not saying Golden State wouldn't take a shot on Embiid. I'm saying their price would be sign and trade Kuminga (at least 4-120 or Kuminga isn't going to agree) and then whatever random contracts (Hield and Moody might make it? S&T matching rules on the trade machine don't seem to be uniform) plus a protected pick.

I suspect MEM might be looking to move Ja.

Another interesting note: ORL moved off KCP one year after signing him as a FA and even though he played poorly. Granted he was the salary matching, but still.

If the BKN rumors have any validity I think trading down to 8 is the best move.

Yea I feel like if you think after last season Draymond has more value to them than Embiid would, then we'll have to agree to disagree.

We'll see how this offseason pans out. Either way, I trust Morey to make the right trade if it presents itself.

I hope Morey has learned the correct lessons from the last three years.

It's still an open question.

This is the trade Morey should do. Tread water this year, then look for a PG deal next summer.

I’m ready to trade four 1sts for Jaren Jackson Jr.

Edit: 2028 LAC 1st, 2029 PHI 1st, 2031 PHI 1st

Just need to hunt one more down.

PHI In: #2, Markkenen

SAS In: #5, PG, Clarkson

UTA In: #3, Vassell, Barnes, Sochan

Why Philly: Move up to get Harper, swap PG for Markkenen (Save $5.2MM Cap Space)

Why SAS: They turn Barnes into PG and swap Vassell for Clarkson, just by moving back a few picks

Why UTA: Move up to get Ace Bailey, restock with younger talent

The Spurs are way too smart to bring in George and that contract. If they give up #2, it's going to be for another lottery pick and additional picks, or an impact player. George and Clarkson are far from that.

I tend to agree, just throwing out ideas.

The reason they'd do it is if they lost out on Durant sweepstakes and think PG can return to his 2023/2024 form. With Fox and Wemby, it would be a decent 3rd piece.

If the Heat miss out on Durant...

MIA out: Wiggins, Robinson, Ware, #20, 2029 1st (unp)
MIA in: Embiid

PHI out: Embiid, Oubre
PHI in: Wiggins, Ware, Collins, #20, 2029 MIA 1st (unp)

UTA out: Collins
UTA in: Robinson, Oubre

Draft Edgecombe at #3 and Flemming at #20.

They're too smart of an organization to actually believe that. It's going to take a desperate organization with awful management to even pick the phone up to discuss George.
